My hubby was kinda the same way, he didn't want a small dog and has a love for labs. The minute I carried Jake in the house and he saw how adorable and cute he was, he took him and cuddled him. But, he wouldn't admit that he liked him for awhile. He babies him, plays with him, helps me spoil him.....he has been perfect for us.

I just don't understand why some men act like as they don't care or like small dogs... And then, after some time, these same macho men are all over our furbabies kissing, hugging and cuddling w/ them... ...LOL...My hubby sure made a fool of himself after all... The worst part is that he KNOWS that!!! LOL
