| This may make me sound over-protective...but I don't let strangers or even friends care for my dog. When we go on vacation the only person I trust to take care of my baby is my mother. I would never board her at a kennel and I even hate leaving her in the care of the vet for a few hours. So if I don't trust the employees at a kennel or the vet...why would I trust airline employees who aren't even in the pet profession? My dog is like my child...and boy would everyone be screaming "outragous" if it was 1% of small children that died during airplane flights. I totally understand why some of you had to have your dogs shipped to you from the breeder. And I'm not judging. It's just not a risk I would ever be willing to take. |

| Yeah, I respect the choice but to say or even imply that flying is dangerous, is ludacris to say the least. It's MORE dangerous to drive with a pet, but people do that. There are much more car accidents then cold airplanes. They regualte temperatures and won't fly when the shipping or receiveing destination is above 80 degrees or below like 50. I would trust my dog on a 3 hour flight a lot quicker than I would on an 8-10 hour drive. Responsible sellers won't sell an unhealthy dog and definatley won't ship a dog that it would put at risk. They highly recommend getting the pet use to the carrier so aviod them panicing when being placed in it. Only a cold-hearted fool WOULDN'T follow instructions and risk the well being of the dog. They shouldn't be breeding in the first place though. |
