Even if her name was not to that ladies liking....she could have been more tactful about it. Some people just think that their poop doesn't stink and that they know everything!

I am usually very quick to snap back at people but I was just so taken back. This lady was little and old and looked so sweet. I guess Jaws looked sweet to someone right before he ate them.

Thanks everyone. I told my daughter what happened (she is 7) she was very annoyed. She announced at dinner that she would not be going to that mean old ladies house to sell her any girl scout cookies. My son (hes 4 and very quick witted) wanted to take Autumn to the ladies house and let her pee on her lawn. My husband and I just laughed and then tried to tell them that we dont have to act like that mean lady. They were not buying it!!!!

Seems like older people totally speak whats on their mind. Even my grandma does it... But I love her. She's told me my female is ugly because her features are bigger than my males, and she LOVES him... I just laugh and tell her I think she's gorgeous! I agree - some older people seem incredibly rude, but they may have a drop of Alzheimer's or who knows what. Some people are also just a little off even though they look normal, and you know what they say - every bad habit gets worse as you get older. I wouldn't take it personally. She probably insulted 15 other people the same day. Autumn is a beautiful name, and Yorkies do not look like rats.
