| Hi Everyone, I just spoke with Kasia. As I have said before her English Communication/Writing and Computer Skills are not as percise as the rest of us. No, she doesn't ever explain the 'whole' situation when she posts here or anywhere else. That's jsut the way it comes out. This country and the lanuage are not her born ones. Unfortuantely, lots of things get missed, mixed up or left out. I was the one that opened the thread about the Tahoe Photos for Sale. And I was the one that asked Admin to close the thread b/c my goal was met. Tahoe was able to get his MRI and the bill has been paid in full, therefore, there was no longer a need to have the sale going on. As I have posted before, a few weeks ago, (thru e-mail) Kasia was asking me about a Yorkie for her friend. Now that Kasia and I have just spoken on the phone, she has now explained it better to me why she posted wanting a yorkie. She told me she was helping her friend out. The friend lives with them and that would mean that all the 'animals' in the house would need to get along b/c they all spend so much time together. Kasia told me that her friend had originally stepped up and helped Kasia out in the very beggining when Tahoe got hurt. There was about $1000 in Vet bills before we started to help out with the MRI. Her friend had lent them the money for Tahoe's first Vet bills b/c they only had a little to spare. Kasia has told me that they are not personally looking for a new puppy, they can't afford, but she was very willing to help out her best friend who lives with them find one and Kasia just wants to make sure the puppy is healthy and that the puppy gets along with Tahoe and Duffy (Tahoe's Brother). I don't know what else I can say. Kasia is extremely upset and stressed. I wish that I could call everyone on the phone and tell the story b/c trying to quickly write while at work is difficult for me too! Posting on here is very difficult to get the entire word for word play. I hope that I was able to answer most of your questions. There are a lot of stressful things happening to Kasia right now, important things for her and her family and she gets up everyday and trys to do her best. Again, she has assured me that she is helping her best friend find a puppy, b/c her best friend wants one. Kasia doesn't want to just leave her hanging (b/c of sick dogs and puppymill dogs, etc.) She wants to make sure 'if' her friend does get a puppy that everyone in the same household gets along, b/c for the most part the friends puppy would be living in Kasia's home with her 2. ok, now I am just rambling on. I think we need to put the Tahoe story to rest. I will be in contact with Kasia, so if anyone wants to know any news, please PM me and I'd be happy to share anything you want with you. |

| I know that people here are upset, but I don't want this to turn into a heated, scam thread. It is hard for me too to write everything exactly, gosh, can't we have a YT phone line chat Anyway, please know that Tahoe was in need of medical care. We were able to get him the much needed MRI. Please know that I have confrimation from the Vet hospital that Kasia also paid for a very good portion of his MRI bill, so she wasn't just out for others the pay the tab. (They just couldn't come up with the whole thing and we needed it asap) We all did a very good thing, Tahoe got his MRI and it showed that he had a stroke, now Kasia can proceed with the proper care for a stroke victim and not have any fears that he has a life threathening disease. She can feel comfortable that she isn't going to hurt him just by simple touch. Please everyone, feel good about Tahoe, he is on his way to walking again, hopefully really soon |

| TLC....what a lovely thing you've done helping out Tahoe. You and I both know how hard it is to come up with the money to care for our pets when a large expense arises. I wasn't going to get involved until Tahoe's response. She may have a "language" barrier but she sure as heck knows how to be nasty when she really shouldn't be! Just another point....in your thread TLC you said she's looking for a puppy for her friend who LIVES with her but yet in her response this afternoon she says the "friend" is there every other day.

| Glad to see an up date on Tahoe's situation...it may be a combination of a cultural barrier & a language barrier for the confusion.....sometimes people from other cultures are just a lot more private....but on the other hand the people donating need to be clear on the circumstances of where their money is going... I hope it's cleared up now for everyone .....

| See Kim, it is so hard for me to keep up with typing the whole thing. Kasia told me that their house is kind of like mother/daughter house. I guess I should have said that her friend pretty much lives in their part of the house. That's what Kasia meant that she is there every day or every other day. Kasia's friend has a cat, the cat is always in Kasia house and so would the friends new puppy (if she gets one). Kasia and her family are moving because that can't afford the costs of a family living on Long Island - which I can understand, b/c there are so many young couples that are being forced to leave. The taxes alone are through the roof! Anyway, She told me her friend is going to move with them and live in their next place with them until her friend finds her own place. Does that make sense now? |

| I hope Tahoe continues to improve. Poor darling, he's far too young to have a stroke . Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Good luck with his therapy.

It does make sense...but whether I believe her entire story or not really isn't important. What was important to me was that you didn't get hurt! (that includes everyone else who donated) You obviously put alot of time, love and probably some money into helping this woman and Tahoe. As long as you feel confident that the money did go to Tahoe's MRI and you surely did a smart thing making sure it went directly to the hospital....and he is responding and getting well...that's all that matters now. You did a lovely thing TLC....I'm so sorry so much doubt has surrounded this story the entire time.

| Yes, I feel 100% confident that any money went directly to Tahoe's MRI. I was at the Hospital and I have printed confirmation. This is really all that matters. Here was a little boy that needed help, and we did accomplish just that. To be honest, Kasia's personal life is her personal life. She never came on here or any other site begging for money. She was just in a frantic nightmare, stressed and didn't no what to do or where to go. She was at a stand still because whatever funds they could afford or borrow was already spent on Tahoe's early care. It was a group of people that banded together to try and help get Tahoe his MRI. Kasia had NO PART in organizing that. From speaking with Kasia, she would never let Tahoe suffer, she loves him way too much and she is trying to make him better. Kasia gave the hospital permission to give anyone whom wanted to help out any and all information that they requested. I can see both sides: #1 I have been a member of YT for 2 years now and I pretty much know my way around here and I too have seen some ugly stuff here. I can see why everyone would be cautious and untrusting. #2 I can see how frustrating it is for Kasia. She is from another country, she supports her family, has to be a Mom and a Wife and has 2 pets, one whom suddenly became paralyzed. She was searching the internet for advice or whatever. She came to YT and I think that she would have learned alot here, BUT things started to get way out of hand with all that was being posted and said. She's not good on the computer and doesn't know how to 'Quote' so everything she was saying sounded mean. But from her point of view, she was in the most horrible time of her life, she came looking for answers and she just started to feel like everyone here was just out to call her a scam. I truley think that the way this whole thing turned out has a lot to do with 'barriers' (language, culture, computer, yorkietalk, etc.) Everyone is certainly free to think and feel however they want. I am not here to try and 'change' anyone opionions. I am just trying to post all the facts that I know. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | that was well said Nicole...Bad Timing also comes into play I think with the thread looking for another yorkie I agree with yorkiemalt well worded post - it's not up to us to believe or not -what does matter is the money went to Tahoe. that's good to know. If you ever do get to meet Tahoe I'd love an update |
