| I'm doing the obedience training with Pepper, and we're practising Loose Leash Walking. It's not that easy!! For some reason, he does not like walking on the left side as supposed to, and ends up tricking me and ending on the right side, no matter where we walk (street, park etc). He pulls too, and it takes forever to stop, wait till he stops pulling, and 'Lets' Go' again... Walks became really tedious sometimes

| Both of mine walk really well. Chachi used to pull like that so I kept him on a short leash and in time he quit doing it

| My puppy school teacher said having your dog on the left gives you greater control over the dog. I guess that correlates with safety.

Our trainer said it doesn't matter if it's the left or right side, just pick a side and stick with it. | |

| Murfee walks pretty well most of the time, but if there are new smells or he thinks he has found "big game" then he pulls...hard. The problem we have is when he decides he doesn't want to go where we want him to, he plants all four of his feet and won't move..I mean he WON'T move. Then we have to pick him up. |

| Murfee does the same thing. In fact, we just got back from our first visit to a dog park and I was really worried 'cause on the leash he was barking at all the dogs. As soon as I took the leash off, he just stayed close to me and sniffed all the dogs who came up to him. As soon as we left and he was one the leash again, he was like a "pit bull" |

| Ferdinand doesn't really pull at all. He will if there's another dog's poo or pee that he wants to sniff, but I just tell him "leave it" and he continues on his merry little way. I taught him not to pull over the course of about a week. Every time he would start to pull, I would give him a gentle tug on the leash (he wears a buddy belt, so it didn't hurt him), tell him "no", stop, and tell him to sit. Once he sat for a couple seconds I would say "Okay, let's go" and he would walk nice. Any time he started to pull, I repeated the process.

| Piper is the best. She walks right beside me. Misha, she likes to go from one side to the other sometimes. Max, he's hilarious, he prances like Bambi going down the road. Jumping here, prancing there.
