Congrats on your new little furbaby!

I have a daughter your age with two bigger dogs, and I know that at times I can be a real "mom" too. I have a Yorkie, and she loved toilet paper when she was a puppy. Hang in there. You have the greatest breed in the world, and once the puppy has worn off (in a few years) your little baby will be your very best friend. Right now you are like any new parent-wondering just what you have gotten yourself into! Well, it is worth it in the long run. Yorkies are the BEST.

Thanks MissSophie! Well so far Rocco is doing great. I brought him back to my place yesterday wore him out...he did have an accident on my carpet however...but oh well, it was just one accident...he slept with his snuggle puppy from 1130pm until 7am this morning

!!! i really like that he's able to sleep at night. but the only thing that kills me is hearing him cry when I leave.

i hope he isnt able to push his gate down, I have him gated in my bathroom right now, and it's a pressure gate. So i'm just praying that when I go back to my place during lunch that he's STILL IN THE BATHROOM.

Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile since i've written on YT...
I just wanted to give everyone who responded a quick update.
First of all, i'd like to thank everyone that gave me advice on this thread.
I truely love this site! Second, I'm glad that i kept Rocco...he's the best little companion a girl in the big city can have! I love him soooo much! I really cant picture my life without him. I'm looking forward to the many years of joy he'll bring me...and let me just say I can't wait to throw him his first birthday party, it's January 12th, but can you believe I'm already planning for it?!

HI Rocco & Mommy and welcome to YT!

It's not easy but not impossible, I had the crate and felt the same way, then I tried the playpen and Koda managed to scape

Yup this little tiny one managed, So I purchased a gate & my brother added xtra height because she used to jump it

You are going to be fine with Rocco, Just give yourself some time and dont give up!!!

You sound responsible to me. After all your here seeking help. The playpen will be a blessing to you and the pup. Don't feel bad if he cries when he sees you. Mine do that when I go to get the mail, and come back in again.
