| I know what you mean.. and then there are times.. that I know I'm wasting my time.. with people, in my area ..close to Puppy mill territory..that buy dogs out there.. I start to expalin..and I know I'm wasting my breath. Or when they go on and on about their.. Yorkie Miniature..or teacup.. I say.. Ya know.. there is no such thing.. and then they use the word about 10 more times in the conversation and I give up..

| Heck yes. I was in the pet store yesterday, and a sales clerk was helping a man pick out a new food. I jumped right in & gave my opinion. I told the clerk sorry for interupting. She said fine, that I seemed to know more about the different types of food than she did. Come to find out it was the manager & she offered me a job. Sometimes my mouth gets the better of me. LOL

| I have to agree with you. I feel the same way at times but try very hard to keep my mouth closed! That's not easy sometimes There is a woman in my office that is a very close friend of mine for 40yrs. Her son has a Yorkie who is 6yrs old. She constantly brags how well he takes care of this dog. Well let me just tell you that the pup has had 6 adult teeth removed due to lack of care, kidney and liver problems due to horrible diet and has no training and they laugh when the dog jumps and grabs food out of someone's hand while they are eating at the table . My stomach just flips when she starts talking. I have nicely explained the care of a Yorkie to her and she just brushes it off and says her son loves this dog to death and takes such good care of it! I want to scream at times but I can't say anymore without accusing her son of being just plain dumb! His past diet, before being sick, consisted of grapes , meal loaf with garlic and onion in it and meatballs more garlic & onion hence kidney problems! Also my daughter is a groomer and he brought the dog to be groomed. My daughter refused to cut his nails because they were so long they were twisted around. She told him to take him to the vet to get them cut. My friend came in to work a couple days later and stated that my daughter was afraid to cut the dogs nails! Your damn right she was because they were so deformed from lack of care. It's not easy to keep your mouth shut when it comes to the proper care of these little guys and even harder when you have to work with someone who thinks they know more than you do. To keep my sanity I try and ignore her because she believes her son knows everything and I just gave up trying to help. It's like talking to a cement wall! |

| It happens alot, but it's only because we love these little babies so much. We only want the best for them. The fact that we are Proud Mommies and Daddies, has absolutely nothing to do with it .

| I feel like that sometimes...about a subject that I know something about. I want to help others and give them the information that I learned, but I get the feeling that they want to tell me to "SHUT UP!" |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I have just been feeling really bad latley. My friend got a yorkie from a pet shop recently i told them i would help them find a nice breeder but they didn't want to wait. well not only was it a pet store but it was the one that i turned in for cruelty to the dogs in the cages then come to find out it was a puppy mill dog i tried to tell them but i think it came out wrong and i know i offended them. then i was trying to tell them about nutrical and everything else and i feel they were offnded. the puppy is cute but it's really poor exampke of the breed it has a really wirey coat i don't think the hair will grow and i think she is going to be big. they wanted a tiny one and i just feel they will be dissapointed. agghhh i need to shut up to but i have learned so much here i feel selfish if i don't share my knowlegde but i guess i just go over board lol

| ARCHIE I agree, I believe in that case it is best not to say anything. You can not teach some something if they already think they know. |

| Yes I feel the same way. My neighbor ,who has 2 Yorkies of his own, approached me earlier this week telling me that his female just had a litter of 3 girls. He asked me what he should ask for them. I started with the questions...do they have AKC papers, what do the parents look like (I have only seen them from a distance) , it depends on the quality and size as well, blah blah, blah.. I just couldn't seem to stop myself! I think I overwhelmed him. LOL!!

| Knowledge is power, and that makes people nervous! You should be proud that you know so much about the breed that you love and obviously protect. Kathy |
