Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | also to help the ears stand...you can shave the top part of the ears, massage it to get the blood flowing thru the ears...and also don't forget to tape it..I have attached some pictures of my tootsie when I went thru that phase...

| I'm not sure if 10 months will be too late to get the ears to stand. I know that eventually, if they don't stand they never will, but I'm not sure when that usually is...Use the search option to look through old threads, there should be lots of ideas there. I personally love the floppy ears, there's lots of yorkies on here with floppy ears. Welcome to yorkietalk! I can't wait to see pics of your baby!!!

| Welcome to YT. Can't help with the ears........Gordon is 18 weeks and he has one standing and one that flops......I have taped and massaged but to avail. I'm not planing to breed him or show him, so it doesn't bother me, I love him just the same.

| Teething~ Is your puppy teething? Charlie and Henry had the floppy ears and I did find out they were losing baby teeth and I just massaged them a few time a day and it was fine...Henry is having a floppy episode now w/ 1 ear at almost 6months and I do the same...If they are teething (mine anyways) their mouths are warm when they lick you...Good Luck! yml

| Welcome to YT. As for the ears, well shave front and back. Cut the shape of the ear out of a brown paper bag (doubled and glued together) and glue in the ear. Look at yesterdays post as to what type of glue to use. Another approach to getting the ears to stand is to take the string out of a tampax, place it in the shaven ear and tape it like a mummy with the tape that doesn't pull the hair. Which ever one you do choose to do, it's going to take about 6 to 8 weeks now to get the ears to stand up since it's already 10 months old. |
