| romeo's weight.......... my baby is a little porker!! he had an appointment first thing this morning and when she walked in and saw him she said "he has gained a few pounds!" of course we knew it was not pounds but ounces but he now weighs 2.65 pounds. i told her i think he picks the bolt on his kennel and goes out for a big mac once we all go to bed! this just goes to prove that we stress and stress ourselves over what they eat or don't eat and they do fine. i was one of the worried moms when i first got romeo, too about his eating habits. i think the moral of this little tale is unless there is a very serious medical problem preventing them from eating - they WILL eat and eat enough.

| I worried so much about my two when I first got them as I honestly didn't think I'd ever get them to eat anything. But they kept gaining weight and were very active so apparently the tiny bites of food they did eat was all they needed. They obviously knew better than I did. |

| EXACTLY!!! i would sit on the floor and beg romeo to eat something!!!! and then i read a post from several people here that calmed my nerves and i took their advice - just make sure that he has something out to eat all day. he is beautiful and healthy and i could not be more pleased with him.

| I was yorkie sitting for my daughter and the little fella wasn't eating like normal so of course I went into a panic and called the vet. He told me his stomach was about the size of a marble and as long as nibbled and wasn't having any gastric issues not to worry. This fella is now 5 months old and weighs over 6 lbs. |

| For puppies, they should be able to eat a few tiny meals a day instead of a couple large ones. It keeps them healthy without getting overly fat. |

| I had never had a Yorkie till I got Gordon. I stressed out because he would skip meals and you have to make him eat at times. My son and his wife own Gordon's sister.......she eats everything in sight. Gordon's vet told me , he is gaining weight and is health. Gordon was the runt of the litter......and she is twice as big as him. I agree, they eat when they want to, and need to.

| When I brought my girls home they were so tiny (I guess they still are) but they would pick at their food. Look at me like, is this what you really want us to eat? Now - at every meal those 2 act like they've never eaten before.

| when we got oscar we purposely got the biggest one because of the rest of the household (his best doggie friend is a 230lb neo) he is really a porker I call him my pot bellied hog. he's at 10lbs now but healthy lots of muscle under all that hair probably from tug of war with the neo. I dont' remember now ever having any worries over him eating.
