| I just had to post again. I really hope you go and get Louie back today. My Mom has 2 Yorkies, My Sister has 1 Silky, and I have 2 Yorkies. Until I got Roxy and TJ - I never knew what a Joy it would be. I never realized that each has their own personality that makes them so special. My point is - There is only 1 Louie and he is here on this planet in this lifetime - Your Lifetime! Please don't deny or deprive Yourself or Louie the wonderful life, love and memories in this lifetime. Go Get Him and Bring Him Home! |

| I don't know what to say............my heart ached as I read your post I am not being judgemental, but how could your hubby just give him away.........I am sure there must be a good reason somewhere that was left out. I wish you could talk to the family and have him back. Maybe you can help them find another small dog that needs a loving home? I am so sorry.

| Oh wow, I feel so badly and can connect with this situation. My Abbie who I had a special, special bond with (Yorkie) but was very protective of me. We took in a Foster Child (she was 1yr) and everytime our Janelle went towards Abbies crate, or if Janelle wanted to sit by me and Abbie was on my lap she would growl at Janelle. I was petrified that Abbs might nip Janelle and then being a Foster child I would be in big doo doo. So, I put up an ad at work, and a lady froma friends church had just lost her hubby. She came to look at my Abbie (who she had never seen) and she started crying, she said this was the exact dog she was looking for, infact she pull up an old photo from a newspaper or something and the dog looked EXACTLY like my Abbie. She (the lady) was so excited that she pretty much exited my home without me really getting a proper goodbye with Abbie. I have never felt so awful, I cried and cried drove this lady crazy with my calls to check up on Abbie etc. Then one day I called to see if I could visit. This was two days after Abbie left. I went inside and Abbie ran to me and licked me and I took her for a walk and we "talked" and I decided I could not give her up. I went back and told the lady I was taking Abbie back home. Now, the lady is close to tears because she already loves Abbie, so I leave with Abbie in the car and call my husband and tell him I took Abbie because I missed her too much. I must have sounded nutz. I ended up going to the park and sitting with Abbie and explaining I needed to take her to the lady as the lady would spoil her and needed her. So, I did just that, took her back. That lady must have thought I was nutz too. I was just so confused. Anyway, that was 4yrs ago. I still send Abbie an xmas card and Nancy (the new owner) updates me here and there. Not a week goes by without me thinking of Abbie, she remains in my heart. Good part is, she is spoiled and has made anothe person happy, however, if I could go back, I would have NEVER parted with her. good Luck. Kathy (sorry this is soo long) |

| I am hooked on this thread. I think we all want you to be happy and not forced into something. I know that things must be a little overwhelming at your house right now. I was just thinking about your Nephew and his Child. I hope that you don't let that deter you from getting Louie back (if that's what you really want). B/c that Child is going to grow up, hang out with friends, go off to College and move out. And Louie will be left with your Nephew and his Wife. If that were me, I just couldn't be able to bare that. Louie belongs with You - If that's what you really want! Don't let them have him just for the childs sake. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Until I saw your post explaining some potential "whys" for your hubby's actions, my first response was: "After I spoke with a good divorce attorney, I would go get my dog back." (The murder option someone mentioned, while effective, wouldn't do you or Louie any good. ) If your hubby action's were in fact aligned with the motivations you mentioned, it won't be hard for him to see the errors of his ways. And while it's sad that your nephew just lost a dog, it should make it very easy for him to understand why you would be so saddened to in effect "lose" yours! They can go save some other deserving soul. Louie, however, is YOURS! You can look at this as a "brief vacation" for Louie. If he can jump in their van to leave, he can jump right back in it to come HOME!!!!!!! |

| i think u should go and get him back.i know that the people just lost their dog and everything but getting another dog right away doesnt make them heal faster.beileve ME we tryed that and as u can see from my last posted thread (on my old account) that i am still grieving my beloved gabby. i think they should wait a lil while. just tell them that u love louie as much as they loved their dog and ur husband (like half of the men out there as my mom tells me) wasnt using common sense...o and do u breed ur dogs? if u did maybe u could give them a puppy |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Is Louie home yet? I sure hope so! As the Lenten season winds down and we head for the holiday symbolizing rebirth and renewal it would seem appropriate timing for his return. Or, for the more secular among us, time for Louie's spring break to be over! |
