| Grab and run! My latest problem is when Penny gets a hold of something she is not suppose to have, she runs from you. There is no way I can catch her, she's tooooooo fast! Plus I know its not a good thing to do. She will come to you most of the time, but not when she has something naughty. I'm afraid she will swallow something or eat something bad. I won't use treats to lure her because thats rewarding her. I have to use a toy or something she might want insteed. How should this be handled correctly. Thanks for any help |

| Oh my god! Chewy does this too and he runs 100 mph. I don't have any concrete advice other than that I am teaching the COME command with much severity! Hopefully he will listen the next time he runs off with something. Good Luck |

| Biddy does this too - she jets under the bed (she's a genious). So I get on my hands and knees and try to reach under for her. But I can't reach so I run around to the other side...so SHE runs to the other side of the bed. I wind up running around the bed abour 100 times before I am completely exhausted & let her have whatever it is that she isn't supposed to have (usually socks)...

| I think they are just trying to make us feel ridiculous!! My boyfriend's mother lives downstairs from us. She called me one night to make sure everything was alright because she knew my boyfriend wasn't home & she heard all kinds of running around & jumping coming from my apartment! I was so embarrassed explaining to her that Biddy had stolen my bra! Hey- that thing cost like $40 - I wasn't about to let her have it!!!

| A few weeks ago I was cooking dinner and dropped a small potato. Sophie grapped it and ran off with it. I ran after but she kept eluding me. So...I yelled "SIT" and she skidded to a stop and I caught up with her. It was so funny to watch! |

| Same thing here, Jack is like a bullet especially with my Husband's underwear, or a dryer sheet, which for some reason he loves to pull out of the dryer while I am unloading and folding. The other morning he took off with one of my slippers, and I just yelled STOP, I couldn't believe what I saw, he actually brought it back to me. Must have been a fluke. LOL

| So relieved... So happy to hear that his happens to other folks!! Mojito has his moments but the worst is definitely the "i'm grabbing what i shouldn't have and running off with it..." It usually ends up with me saying "SIT!" in a really low voice (after "come", "drop it", or "stay" don't work) and he usually has a sock or a piece of paper or, yes, a pair of panties or boxers in his mouth. He also loves slippers and flip-flops! You haven't laughed until you've seen a 4 pound pup running up and down the hall, trying to thrash a size eleven man's flip-flop!! (It's bigger than him!!) OH - and let's not forget toilet paper. We just moved home to NYC after spending almost five years in San Francisco and I was so proud of my bathroom hardware... until Mojito discovered the toilet paper dispenser. I swear, we went through about three rolls of tp before we realized that we needed to relocate the dispenser. So bummed... but it was SO cute! Mojito & Irmi |

| Gucci does this also. At the beginning I used to run after her. But I learned not to do that because she saw it like a game. SO what i did was getting something she likes and like trade her. Did that for a while. Then started saying the word "drop it", until she start getting the hang off it. Now i say drop it and she 90% does it. SOmetimes she wont and then I have to trick her and grab her and say drop it and take it away. Yorkies are very smart and so funny. It is so funny how they love socks and undies, huh. |
