![]() My boyfriend has a chow/lab mix that is almost 11 years old and she's fairly big. She's real lazy, and lays around most of the day. She even eats laying down! Fred, being a 10th her size, loves to chase her around and bite at her ankles! He'll chase her and she'll bark. It looks like they're playing if you don't pay too much attention, but if you look carefully.. she's trying to push him away from her with her snout. She looks pretty annoyed and will start barking and growling. She's not a barking dog either, she's the quietest dog I've ever met! Is there a way to stop it??

![]() I had a similar problem and I started using a spray bottle! It doesn't hurt, but Rocky hates it! Now, when he starts his ankle biting, I only have to say the words "spray bottle" and he stops. Might work for you, too.

![]() Spray bottle with water are a great training tool! My Hefner likes to pester my standard poodle too, but I usually just distract him by hrowing his ball or something and that seems to work. The poodle has never snapped at him but he does growl at him and he;'s the biggest teddy bear of a dog!! I think it's the male dog thing since they are both males. I got some good pics of them today and when my computer is back I will download thwm and post them!! They both got groomed!

| ![]() I wish the spray bottle technique would work for Mocha.. She sits there and enjoys getting sprayed.. The last couple of times I've taken off the top and threw the water on her but she doesn't seem to mind

![]() lol! I wonder if it will work on Fred. Maybe I should get a Super Soaker, but I wouldn't want to blow the monster on his back! Is this where the can with pennies can come into play, too?

![]() Ok, lemme tell ya what to do! I gots experience in something like this! I put my girls hair up in topknots and Pirogue thinks I do this for him. He grabs those topknots in his mouth and pulls them girls across the room by it. Yeah, it's funny, ceptin' he's PULLIN' THEIR HAIR OUT!!! So I got out my trusty Bitter Apple Spray, read the instructions, checked if it said not to put it on dogs and then sprayed the he** out of those topknots. Hmm, he don't like that. He hasn't bit their topknots in a long time. Course I haven't sprayed them for a long time now and he's startin' to do it again, little Mr. Big too! Gonna have to get the spray out again. Anyway, works for us, Sylvia

![]() http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/la...smiley-006.gif That is just way too funny, these cute little monsters! I'm gonna try to spray the water bottle and if that doesn't work. It's time for desperate measures!
