| Its funny that you ask that question because I have had Lulu for about 4 months and every where I go with her people always ask me if she is my only one or they tell me about their yorkies and they always have more then one! So I had wondered if they are better with a buddy!! The last thing I want to do is deprive her!!!! Lulu |

| I think it also depends on the dog. My Desi was not happy being home alone all day and when we got home she demanded a lot of attention. Getting Millie made a big difference in her life, now we are not the center of her universe. But, on the other hand, I once had a dog (Chihuahua) who was very laid back and was happy being by himself, when we got another dog was when our problems started. He just liked being the only dog in the house. So, getting a second dog depends on you and your dog.

| I have been considering getting JoJo a playmate since he loves to interact and play with other dogs but I have encountered several who are independent and do not really want to bother with another dog. When I visited my mother for two weeks I was so excited that her friend had a two year old Yorkie. Well the friend was right when she said he probably would not want to play and was very independent. He wanted nothing to do with JoJo. Recently I dog sat for my neighbor's Maltese and was hopeful for JoJo as well but this dog also had a very independent personality and did not want to play. If I get another dog, I am doing it so JoJo will have a playmate. In the meantime he gets all the attention and love and sitting in my lap that he wants! If you want your dogs to play, why don't you see how they get along together before committing yourself? Or maybe you want another dog for yourself regardless if they interact and then it might not matter. The majority of owners with more than one Yorkie seem to be thrilled with them but there are also posts about Yorkies living together who do not get along so be careful. Good luck!

| One dog or two I own one little diva, Tinkerbelle, she is 4 years old and she is my little love but can be a little terror. I am at work for 9 hours a day and for the first couple of years she did well. I went on vacation for two weeks and my brother dog and house sat. I didn't want her to be in unfamiliar surroundings. No she's not spoiled at all. Anyway after that she developed seperation anxiety, as my brother was with her 24-7. So now it is heartbreaking when I leave for work as she barks and actually cries when I leave. I feel so guilty leaving my little girl. I am currently looking for a sister for her. It is a personal decision and I have made my decision for my girl and for me as well. Good Luck |

| Oh my, I am the wrong one to ask here. LOL. I have a little zoo going on here. If one is great, just think of how wonderful 10 animals will be. HA HA HA HA. My husband is always telling me to stop buying, rescuing, and saving the world. But in my defense all my babies have the best of everything.

| I have one but she has to cats her best bud is my male one, she loves to play with him, but he get tired of her sometimes, we are thinking of getting another, but I don't work and Phoebe get a lot of attention from us she thinks that everything is about her, we go out a lot, so one of my reason that I don't have another one is because I don't know how Phoebe is going to react and if is going to be hard to take two with me everywere like I do with Phoebe, anyway still considering to get another one |

| Before you get a second one -- maybe round up some doggie friends for your pup to have play dates with. That might eleviate some of the feeling (on your part) that he's lonely.
