| I realize you are out of school for the summer but soon you will be going back wont you? I posed several important questions to you and this is the only one you responded too. If your parentsare ready for the yorkie then you should by all means get him. But just because you have wanted one for three years isn't enough. I know you said you have read all about them but in reality they live and breathe 24 hours a day 7 days a week and some one has be there most of that time. You are very young and in 2 - 3 years I bet you may possibly have other interests.

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | My yorkies are kept in the house. They are too sensitive to the environment. Plus it is easier to keep them clean and tangle free. I know of a breeder that keeps her yorkies outside and she will let you know that they are her money makers and their condition shows just that. They really are in sad shape. Yorkies are people dogs and prefer to be around their people. If you keep one outside, you would not be giving them the adequate attention they need. Not to mention, all of the critters out there that could bite/sting them. |

I would not buy from this lady .I would call animal services I think animals are part of the family they should be keep inside with the family..poor doggie.. so sad |

| There is only one acceptable reason for a Yorkie to live outside imo..if the owner lives outside, then it might work...I said MIGHT. |

| The weather around here is too harsh for these little furbabies. Its too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. I think you need to wait a little longer until you can have him inside with you..PLUS they are wonderful to sleep with..Just like a teddy bear!!

| OKay I have stayed out of all of this for so long, but I guess i just have to put my opinion out there now. When I was 12 i had an outside dog because that was what my parents thought was right, and to me, being 12, it seemed okay. Now I look back at the life my poor dog (Apache) lived and I can't believe how horrible I was. I have learned so much more as I have gotten older...yeah I know I'm only 20 now, but i have the ability to make my own decesions. Also, I have to accept all of the responsibility. If Baby pees in the house it is my problem, and it is my floor. Living with my parents I would never have been able to keep Baby as I do. Also, I can not imagine keeping Baby outside. She won't even lay on the couch unless she has a pillow or blanket to lay on, on the couch. I don't know what she would do if she had to sleep on the ground?!?!?!?!?!?!? I don't want to know. I understand how exciting it is to finally be able to get a yorkie, and I wanted to say congrats...but i have a SUGGESTION...remember it's only that. Is it possible for you to bring this pup home for a trial period, like over the weekend or something??? Then you could test his indorr behavior and get to know his personality??? To me this seems like a good introduction for everyone. Then you could also get a feel about how your parents might react to potty accidents and then you would know if this would work out. Good luck and keep us posted!!!!!!! |
