That's a good point but these programs also do pedigrees so that feature is sort of nice

It looks like many people have created their own forms. I imagine a large show breeder might want to have their info accesible tio others, but I don't need that

Coefficients guide you as to how close you're are breeding....Crystal ball breeding, is a what if you put these 2 dogs together, based on all the info that you've put into the data base....genetics, etc.

Wow that is impressive. how long have you been breeding? I just wonder if I need all that on such a small scale.

I only breed 1 or 2 litters a year, and only when I'm looking for that next Champion to add to my breeding program. So, I'm on a small scale operation too. However, since I don't have a computer brain to keep all those pedigrees straight....this helps me, when I'm planning that next breeding.

It amazes me when the ole masters of the yorkie world spout off those dogs in certain pedigrees......Some of these people are now in their Seventies and Eighties.....around way before the computer became popular.......My mentor who will be 79 this year can sit their and tell me about every dog that she has had in her kennel, how they showed, what their faults and quirks were, what their best qualities were....and she does this with other Kennels/Pedigrees too.....Wow! I'd love to do a book on her life experiences in the dog world.

I just wanted to post that I bought The Breeders Standard 2007 by Man's Best Friend Software. I think its going to be awesome!

I've only entered a few things in so far, but as soon as I get it down on how to do everything, its going to be truley beneficial! I can't wait to get everything entered in and start using it to its potential !!!

The initial cost for the most current is 69.99, however, if you already own a lesser version as in The Breeders Standard 2006, you can upgrade for 27.16

Then you can add additional powerpacks as you need/want.

dont know if this falls in to the same category but, my friend has a malti-poo and hed dog had babies and she's giving two of the pups to the father (doggy) she wants to know how does she go about getting a birth certificate for the little babies i was trying to google it but only human birth certificate info came up.

i would appreciate any help i can get thanks.

Not a possibility since the dog is a cross breed. Only pure bred dogs can be registered via AKC, which would allow you to obtain pedigree info.

What this software does is helps a Breeder manage their kennel.
