most of us love our pets just like we love our kids - I don't see it as a dumb comparasion to compare them to our children - our pets ARE part of the family. It has nothing to do with bows or not wearing bows - we're just passionate about them and there's nothing dumb or wrong with that

I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with a boy dog with long hair - yorkies are known for their hair - male AND female ....I always laugh when people say something about my girls having such long hair - I just tell them it's the kind of hair I WISH I had LOL ....

| I do not have a male yorkie, but if I did you bet he'd be wearing ribbons, bows, and clothes. Now, I may not put him in pink, but he would definitely be dressed. In response to the "its dumb" comment, there are some practical reasons to have them in clothes. I have a chi named Harley. He is seven years old and has seizures which the vet has determined is stress/anxiety related (not completely 100% sold on that as I think that is the term vets and ppl doctors use when they can't explain something). He also has severe separation anxiety. This has nothing to do with lack of training, etc (we've tried different classes and methods). The one thing that we have found that helps him more than anything is a t-shirt. It makes him feel more secure and he is a totally different dog with his t-shirt on. With his t-shirt on I don't have to hold him, I can walk out of the room, I can even leave the house and he is OK. He is a happier, healthier dog with his shirt on.

that's so awesome that an article of clothing can make him more relaxed - poor baby - they really get so attached to us that anything that works must be a blessing - I'm sorry he has seizures but if wearing a shirt helps then good for you finding something that works - besides - That's really cute bless his heart -

| He LOVES his shirts! He loves clothes period. Even when I'm trying to put dresses on the girls he comes running up and tries poking his head in between the dress and the girl. LOL I first heard about it in a training book I bought. It's called Tellington Touch (or T-Touch). It involves extremely light massage that is very calming. Having their tummies surrounded by fabric has an extremely calming effect on some dogs. Luckily my Harley is one of them!

| I know and no harm done. It seems that on this board that once a different opinion rises about yorkies the majority ban together, anyway im used to it on here cause most if not all of the people here do not share my opinions |

oh no !! I totally respect those who don't 'bow' their pets - it's a personal choice all the way but your opinion IS respected !! We don't have to agree from a personal standpoint but I can see where you're coming from - when I posted - I was really kidding around - it's a light subject and been interesting but in no way did I mean it to sound like your opinion or feelings don't count - they DO - Sorry if I sounded like that....
