| I was quite taken aback by him. He doesn't look like a pure Yorkie to me. I'm no expert but have read alot and looked at a lot of pictures. His snout and ears are quite alarming to me. If your friend wants a pure bred Yorkie and is set on looks, I would hold out. I do agree very strongly that he is in need for a good home. |

| He looks fine to me. I've seen yorkie's that are big, small, silver, black, tan, wide nose and small nose. Who cares. He is a doll. Cute little fella. At a first look...I would say it is a yorkie. Those with "toy yorkies" might not think so. The thing to note is that the "standard" yorkie 100 years ago was not as tiny as they are today!

| Yorkie?? To be honest with you, he really does have the color and some features of a Yorkie. I know that Silkies have longer snouts also. My yorkie has silver coloring with a little gold in ears and muzzle and light steel blue back. I have seen yorkies that are a year old that are still dark in the back. The ears will probably not go up if they haven't already and they are probably down for that reason. I think he is cute...$600 is steep but he looks like he needs a great home. I wanted to take my yorkie out of the house he was bred in so fast....oh my god! Good luck but I really do think that he would be just a great puppy. He needs to get out of that house and into yours. The price is WAY to high...I paid $525 for a full bred yorkie. Maria

| I definitley think that dog is a mixed breed. The long snout is a definite giveaway. I got my dog yorkie-poodle mix at 3 months for $475. If the lady selling this dog is asking $600 for a year old? That just seems a bit much! And why is she giving it away? I think this dog looks ill and very sad by the pictures. I hope either way of your friends decision, it finds a better home.

| He has to be a mix!! He does look sad and his nails look like they need a trim... Unless your friend is 100% sure of wanting a Yorkie or a show dog, I think she should look into this guy... he is beautiful.. he just needs some love and affection!!

| talking about if it's a yorkie............. Here is a pic of a pup we just bought not too long ago. I'm starting to doubt that he's a yorkie. I'm going to post a pic of him and a pic of one of ours from our litter (which I know are full blooded yorkies). Cricket is the bigger of the 2, and he is suppose to be ACA registered. Could he be part something else? I'm concerned, because we bought him to breed. He has super short legs too. |

| Yorkies? They are so cute. I think that they both look like yorkies. THe legs are short on the one but how much does your yorkie weigh? I think they are darling and I am sure that they are yorkies. If you are unsure, you may also want to consult your vet.

| pups They both look very similiar to me.. type, coat, color, ears, muzzle type ..pup on left may have a bit better coat texture, but photo's are very difficult to judge a pup. I wouldn't want anyone evaluating my pups from photo's..but, and I hope this does not offend...I am always puzzled by breeders who buy a stud potential so young. Best wishes |

| What are the reasons that make you believe it is not a Yorkshire Terrier ? |

| Hard to say by looking at these pictures. I breed Dachshunds and I don't see dachshund in him. He looks Yorkie to me. I bought Gizmo at 7 years old, and he is AKC, took pictures and his nose looks huge in his picture because he rubbed the hair off his nose(at previous owners) and that's the way the camera picked it up. His ears are down in the picture also, and usally they are up. He is a very happy dog but was not thrilled about having his picture taken. here is the first picture I took of him when I brought him home. Gizmo still looks WAY HAPPIER than that dog. He looks so scaried, like he has never had anyone touch or mess with him so he has no idea what's going on. I personally wouldn't pay $600 for him. I paid $350 for Gizmo, he is large, he weighs 8 1/2 pounds, but he is AKC and a happy, socialized dog. |
