| He does look terribly sad, but maybe he is just scared. If he is a year old, it looks as though they had shaved him completely a couple of months ago for his head hair to be short. If my Zowie were up on a shelf like that and was scared, her ears might be down, too. The breeder is doing herself an injustice to send pictures like this. Maybe she sent a child or someone out to get some quick pictures. See the paint can, this is a relatively small dog in comparison. I think she should go see the dog, if he is really a happy and loving dog, It is probably a good deal. If he is not social - watch out. I do think my dogs were silver and tan by one year, he looks a little younger. Sure does make you want to hold him and make him feel better. He does actually look very well groomed and healthy if you look closely at him.

| dog He looks like a poorly bred, possibly purebred kennel Yorkie ..poor little thing. I can't believe breeders would use a male like this for breeding..BUT he would no doubt be a wonderful pet with patience and loving care. He looks neglected and needs human contact. |

| that puppy looks sad, i agree with the long nose thing. His paws are a little large as well, this was also already pointed out. I am not sure, if it was me I would pass unless your friend just wants to provide a great home.

| I thought he looked part doxie too. I know a lady here in Texas that bought one that looks just like him. Wonder if it's the same breeder. But the poor thing looks very sad...poor baby.

| Update Well, my friend called the lady and offered $300 for him today, the lady was very offended (I will not type what she said to my friend ) and said she'd just keep him "because he throws little pups." I don't know anything about breeding, but I'm assuming that means his babies are usually small. Anyway, after they got off the phone, my friend e-mailed her phone # & address to the lady, apologized for offending her and offered again to buy him for $300. Maybe the lady will come around because my friend really wants to "rescue" this poor little puppy. She said to give a big Thank You to all the YTers here for there insight and advice and I wanted to say thanks as well. I'll let you know if the lady lets her have him.

| Poor little guy, he looks like he needs someone to rescue him, he breaks my heart how sad he looks. I think he is full blooded, I have seen them look like him. But I am no expert. I hope she rescues him! |

| That poor baby breaks my heart! I think everyone is probably right ... what I particularly noticed was his feet ... the pads are so large compared to my Toto's tiny little feet & his nails look really long! Bottom line ... he needs to be rescued!!

| You can't tell much from a photo but the first warning light that goes off in my mind is that the dog is APR listed. I've posted on this topic before, but let's just say that if a dog isn't AKC listed or at least UKC registerd, I would rather go to local shelter than slap my money down. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I noticed the pads on his feet too - they are gigantic for a yorkie - but that's not saying he isn't either - I just feel so bad for him that she is only looking at him like a stud and he probably feels no love in his life - that woman is nuts thinking she could get that much from a real yorkie person.... but you never know these days - yorkies are becoming way too popular and there are lots of people with more money than sense and would shell out 600 easy. |

| you know I didnt even look at his paw pads and that is true they are extreamly big for a yorkie, at the very least swollen due to bieng in an ares where he should be.
