| Baby teeth and big teeth still together!?! Ok i have never seen this but my yorkies baby bottom fangs and new adult fangs are side by side and the baby ones will not fall off. I touched the baby ones and they aren't even loose. Is there such thing as doggy dentist? and if there is would this procedure be expensive? Has this happened to anyone? |

| Yes, it is pretty common and usually it is taken care of when you have them fixed. Yorkies are prone to bad teeth and require regular teeth cleaning, but the first is usually done when you get them fixed. |

| My dog has this on both of his top fangs. I haven't gotten him fixed, but the vet wasn't worried about the teeth. He said it was really common in yorkies and that if it caused him any problems, then the could be removed. I still haven't gotten them removed, as it can be really expensive. But they aren't bothering him at all, and I'm planning on buying the PetzLife teeth cleaning products, because everyone has been raving about it, so that I can put off getting the teeth removed for a little longer.

| Maggie had to have 9 baby teeth pulled. They do put them under so if you are planning on getting your little one fixed have them do it than. Sure looks funny with two sets of fangs!! She had no trouble at all. Cost $165 but she didn't get fixed than. Just the teeth. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | How old is your baby? Lex lost his last baby tooth right before his neuter at 13 months. I have seen posts on here with doggies that have lost their last baby teeth midway between one and two years old. When I had Lex neutered I had his teeth cleaned. The vet had offered to remove any baby teeth for free being as he was going to be under and luckily by that time they had fallen out. But they did charge me $50 extra above the cost of the neuter because I had them do a cleaning while he was under.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | LOL. Lex's fell out right about a week before that Neuter if I remember correctly. I was all set to get them removed and it was noted in his chart. Just give it a bit more time. At worst you can have them pulled while he is under for the neuter.

| Bella-Bean's were like that and the vet called the 'Impacted' baby teeth, she had to get them removed. She was a year or so, and Daisy-Bear had her last one fall out at 7 1/2 months.... Hope that helps |

| You definently want to have those deciduous teeth removed. If you're having your dog fixed and the surgery goes well, many vets will go ahead and extract a few teeth at that time. The retained baby teeth can cause a lot of problems down the line for the adult teeth behind them and in her overall health condition if not removed. |
