| I know 2 yoriepoos. Good dogs but look way more poo than yorkie. Yorkiechis are the only mix I've seen that can look yorkie but I haven't seen a lot of yorkie mixes. |

| Ruby is a Shorkie...Shih Tzu/Yorkie...She is very friendly but not as sassy or vocal as many Yorkies...Scrappy (Yorkie) makes so many different sounds...he is always talking! I'm sure that a YorkiePoo would have great traits from both breeds...you can do a search for this mix on dogster and get a feel for them

| I have a yorkiepoo!!! It's a really good choice, they are playful, loving, and calm. There the best of the yorkie and the poodle. |

| I'm just a little surprised that some of the "mixed" breeds, like yorkiepoos are being sold here for the same price or more than a purebred. It doesn't seem like that is fair, but I'm sure they are cute dogs. |

| yorkie-poo hello this is my first time using a message board so i hope it shows up!!!! anyway i had bought a terrie-poo which i recently found out is a yorkie-poo. i have had him for one year now. i think he is the cutest, best dog i ever met. i would buy another if i could find one. as soon as i get a picture on the computer i will post him on this site. i was really suprised to find out he was part yorkie because he looks nothing like the yorkies i've seen. He is all white and i always thought yorkies where brown and white ,but i guess thats the poodle in him. Sooo i would tell anyone who is interested in a yorkie-poo that they are ( well at least mine is ) very emotional, they get very excited, and very protective of me and my family. maybe a little to protective -- meaning if he doesnt know you ,you are not coming in our house. but besides that negative aspect if you are looking for a very loving personal dog they are for you. |

| I have seen several yorkipoos and they haven't had many physical characteristics of a yorkie...but we have a Yorktese (yorkie and maltese mix). Ozzie has the yorkie coloring and yorkie personality. His body frame is a little more like a maltese. From our limited experience with Ozzie (we've only had him 5 wks)...and with visiting with others that have yorkie mix breed dogs...with a yorkie mix breed you seem to get the best of both breeds. I would say that if you research both breeds thoroughly (temperment and disposition, care, etc.), look around to see the various physical characteristics possible...and are pleased with these...go for it! Keep us "posted" on what you decide.

| I have a yorkie poo and know it's not a purebred...I dont really think anyone is listing it as it's own breed. Anyway, a lot of peple on here have Yorkie poos and mixed breeds and we all love them very much! Kelsey looks very much like a yorkie except she has long legs and a long tail. Her hair, face, body all look like a yorkie And her weight is about a little over 9lbs. It all depends on the parents though... Congrats on finding a dog that is suitable to your needs. They have the most wonderful, energetic personalities! As soon as you get your baby i'd love to see pics! PM me and we can keep in touch! This is my baby Kelsey about 4 months ago: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...chmentid=15213

| My daughter in law has a yorkie/shih tzu he is an adorable dog but takes more after the shih tzu side she found this dog in the local newspaper, i belive she paid around 150.00 for him . Around here i see so many mixed dogs going for outrageous prices sometimes costing more than purebreds. Mia |
