All God's creatures are beautiful. But IMO as a die hard pure Yorkie lover. Adding Poodle to a Yorkie takes away some of the excentric Yorkie traits...Yorkies do best in multiple dog households. Why not get a Poodle and a Yorkie to have as pals in stead of mixing the 2?

Besides, mixing 2 breeds you are not going to always end up with the exact same blend of personality or traits of the 2 breeds.

I have a yorkie-poo. She is great. We also yorkies. They all get along great.

I have two little girls Bella Grace and Lola Shay. Bella was born 11/07/07 and we gor her on Christmas Eve. Lola is newly born 7/13/08 by the same mom and dad (mom black and brown yorkie dad small white poodle) and I will get her in September. Bella Grace is very intelligent, easily potty trained and so sweet and loving. She does several tricks too. I hope you have gotten one by now as this is an old post. I joined this website hoping there would be other yorkiepoo owners.

I don't understand why people are charging the same sort of prices you would pay for a pure pedigree yorkie either

...you are paying for a mixed breed after all...these breeders are mixing pedigree dogs and giving them fancy names and calling them 'designer' dogs..making them more attractive to people..so people will and are paying those sort of prices

...i'm a big fan of the Yorkie..always have been always will be..I wouldn't want to mix them with other breeds..however cute they may look!

I have a yorkiepoo and I LOVE HER!!!! Mufasa is my CKC registered Yorkie and I didn't want him to be lonely when the kids are in school and my hubby and I are at work so a girlfriend of mine had 3 yorkiepoo that SHE GAVE AWAY (these are expensive where I live) and I got one of them and my sister got one of them.

My yorkiepoo, Nahla (did you notice the Lion King theme here?) ha......is the sweetest LITTLEST little thing I have ever seen. She was born June 1 and only weighs a little over 1 pound. She is fluffy and sooooooo playful. Mufasa didn't like her at first but now he LOVES her and they are so fun to watch. She will play forever but if somebody is aggravating her when she doesn't want to be aggravated then she gets a little feisty and it's so cute! ha! She gives Mufasa a run for his money and he's about 6 pounds! ha!

Thanks for answering my post. I am glad to hear from other Yorkie-Poo owners. I had always wanted a Yorkie but when my friends yorkie accidently got pregnant by her miniature poodle and I read about them how they get the BEST of each breed I absolutely had to have one. I can't wait to get her little sister next month from the same parents. This is their last litter so I am very lucky. I only paid $200.00 each because we are good friends.
My Bella Grace

is so intelligent and was easy to potty train. I am working on her not running out the front door when we open it for visitors. She is so fast.

i have a 2 yorkipoos , 2 yorkies, and a morkipoo. my mom has a yorkipoo and a yorkie.. the poodle part makes them smart and noisy. and great jumpers.
first generation lucy looks like a black mini sheep. but her puppies were more yorkielike.. i LOVE yorkipoos

Oh my gosh, Bella is a yapper. It's funny because her dad is white poodle and mom brown/black yorkie but she is solid black with small white patch on feet and chest. She has wild yorkie hair. My boys say she looks like a Wookie

. What is a morkie? Do your dogs all get along? I hope Bella Grace does good with a new Baby in the house next month. She is use to being the only little princess in the house.

Our Crosley is a Yorkie Poo, she's a fantastic dog! We took her in as a puppy from a family who was not good to her, we adore her!

Here are some pics of our girl. The last picture was before the major hair cut!
