are you having a baby or a puppy?gus has a yorkipoo high pitched yap.. the morkie poo was from lucys first litter. she was supposed to stud to a yorkie, but my breeders husband said he thought the maltese would be cute.. ha ha.. but we recovered and kept sadie.. maltese 50% AND YORKIPOO 50%.. I HAVENT SEEN TOO MANY MORKIPOOS.. she is different..curly soft white coat..grooming issues galore..with a very female low pitched yap.. but the most affectionate.. maybe.. my yorkie gidget..is just normal.. and much quieter...no, matter what the breed, they all have different personalities.. there is no standard for yorkipoos but they should all be like gus.. i love his grizzly coat.. my avatar.. sadly though, gus is going to leave us.. for a better life, i hope.. so.. down to one yorkipoo..only lucy.. i have placed 9 puppies in 2 years... my 2 males were fighting.. so i needed to go down to one boy in this house for now.. everyone needs at least two... i started with 2 females.. my akc yorkie and her sister lucy .. the yorkipoo queen..she has akc parents..and they have been wonderful..sadie is my 2 yr old morkipoo....her puppies will be cute..if she has any... i know.. less maltese with more yorkie.. pack of four.. but room for more..

you are right.. you never know what you will get when mixing.. all black and wirey hair.. or grizzly color with cottony coat. the poodle curl mixed with yorkie hair can be hard to groom. but still my favorite mix... ![]() they are smarter than the average yorkie with the poodle genes

I went to visit a sort-of Yorkie-poo pup a few days ago (1/4 poodle, 3/4 yorkie) and we're going back to pick him up this coming Monday. To my untrained eye, he looks like a 100% Yorkie, but the lil bit of poodle seems to have lowered the price quite a bit from what a full Yorkie would be, and I'm hoping that some of the rumors that adding poodle to yorkie blood makes them a little easier to handle are true too. Who knows though... all I know for sure is that I have been pouring through all the info on this forum and on other sites, and I am ready to LOVE my new puppy (we're still trying to decide on a name... I'm leaning toward Yuzu?). Anyways, when I get him on Monday, I'll take some pictures and post an actual intro/hello as its own thread, so I'm not hijacking this one. Lauren

I was happy to see this thread! I have been considering a Yorkie mix, and yorkiepoo was my top choice. My Freeway had a LOT of poodle in him though, and he was a yappy little thing so I worry that the new puppy would be the same way. As much as I loved him he drove me nuts with all the barking!

| I dont have a Yorkie Poo but growing up we had a Shihtzu-Poo and my mom now has him. He is an EXCELLENT dog, and the Poodle will make the Yorkie Poo SUPER smart. Just get ready for him to be demanding, spoiled, and very human. Our Shihtzu-Poo is super intelligent and because of that they are endless sources of entertainment because they figure out crazy things to do. have fun, Im sure you will love anydog you get as long as you make him happy he will be your very best friend for life.

I have a yorkiepoo and I wouldn't give her up for the world.. She was the smallest most frisky one in the basket... Mom was apricot poodle and dad small yorkie.. Shes only 4 lbs. very smart no trouble potting training , never got into anything she shouldn't.. Doesn't bark and loves everyone she meets and loves cats and other dogs... Shes the apple of my eye and I never thought I could fall so in love with a dog but I knew the first time I seen her we were going to hit it off just great..And the last yr has just flown by...

we have opened our home and hearts to Abbey YORKIEPOO she's 4 months now and a pistol! Very easy to potty train outside & inside on wee-pads. very affectionate...like a puppy on roller skates most of time! Crate her at night..bedtime is 8p-730am no accidents in crate either!

My Buster is a yorkie-poo. He is about 6 months old and I could not be happier with my choice. He is a perfect match for me and I love the added joy he has brought to my life. It's fun because I come here and get to see many of his Yorkie traits that agree with so many people full blooded yorkies and I also get the special added bonus of the poodle side of him too. ![]() He's my baby boy!

I haven't read all the posts but found an excuse to talk about my boy! Mine is a quarter poodle and an excellent dog. He is sooo funny, he thinks he is a people! Brutis smiles, Bumps his nose into your face like he is kissing! and likes to sleep covered up with a blanket. He is very smart and loves to be told he is pretty!! All that being said I wouldn't pay what you pay for a show quality Yorkie. Make sure your puppy isn't coming from a puppy mill. I got mine from an older lady who has 3 dogs and likes to have puppies once in a while. They are very well taken care of and she was very concerned about were the puppies went and made sure I knew how to take care of one. Alot of people think this kind of BYB is just as bad as a puppy mill but I disagree.
