My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | AKC registration paperwork question On your pups AKC paperwork.....on the left hand side near the bottom, there is the part where it says: To Request Limited Registration There is says that if you want to request limited you need to blacken in the box. Normally there is a 3 digit number in the box as well. What if there is NOT a 3 digit number? I notice on this paperwork I'm not able to register her on line. Is this number used only to register on line? Thanks! |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | If the box is shaded or there is no # then she has a limited registration but you can still register her online Edited: Sorry i guess i didn't read close enough you need it to register even in the mail. I would call the breeder or Akc if there isn't a # and the box isn't shaded

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | No she deffinatley sold her to me with full regisrtation. The box is NOT shaded - there just is not a 3 digit number. Which if I remember correctly, you enter that number in when your registering the pup on line. I have two different pups to register. One says: Return this form by mail or go online to register your dog today! (this one has a 3 digit number in the box. It also gives a PIN # for online The other one I have to register says this: Congratulations on your purebred dog, we encourange you to register your dog today! (no 3 digit # in the box, and no PIN #) |

| I would think that both of you pups should have a Pin # and the Limited # if not shaded.......to register online here you can use this # to inquire about your registration 1-919-233-9767 this is the AKC Customer Service....I hope I could help

No Longer a Member | Does yours have the litter information already printed at the top? Mine already has dob, the sire, the dam, the breeder's name and address. Otherwise, it sounds like you have a blank form.... Don't know what to tell you, since this is the only one I've ever seen. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Thanks, but I already tried There are not open on weekends. These are 2 different pups from 2 different breeders. One I can register online, the other I have to mail. I'm thinking that is why there isn't a number in the box on the one I have to mail? |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Does the one without a # have the litter info on it like stated above? the dam and the sire akc#? if not she didn't register that litter because i think when the pups are born they register the litter and you get the papers and they have the #'s on them

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I'm thinking that for some reason, I can't register online and have to mail the form. Which is no biggy, I'm just curious as to why there isn't a 3 digit number in the limited reg. box and need to make sure it doesn't effect the registration. I'm hoping I don't have to wait till Monday to find out...I don't have patients!!! The breeder doesn't know why the 3 digit number is missing and it was like that on all the pups forms. She's not limiting the registration at all. |

| Breny, some of the older AKC forms did not have a number in that box . they have only recently started putting numbers in that box. it was up to the breeder to blacken it for limited registration. ceeby's paper didn't have anything in the box. Maybe this form is one from when they were switching over. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Thanks D !!!!!! I'm freaking out here thinking I may have an issue with getting full registration, even though the breeder didn't blacken it. Quote:

| i found this breny, I just copied this off the AKC site. Apparently if the box is blank you do have to mail it in. If you are the new owner of the dog and there is no PIN on the registration application, the litter owner must start the on-line dog registration process. The puppy owner then can complete the on-line registration. When the process is complete, AKC will mail the registration certificate to the owner. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Thank you again D !!!!! I also recieved a PM from smmrpm and she told me that The numbers do only have to do with registering on line. The reason there are no numbers is because there are two people litters as the litter owner. Because AKC will only allow online registration if the litter is owned by one person, if it is co-owned you have to mail it in. Thanks again SMMRPM !!! Quote:
