| LOL...Maximus does that with treats..lol..go figure (stocking up for a rainy day...lol..and God forbid mommy tries to clean it..he's gulping them down..my bf says getting rid of the evidence..lol)..but I just started making fruit salads..since it's SUPPOSED to be summer although it is still 50 degrees in NY and now he gets some watermelon, cantelope and apple everyday as treats instead of pupcorn...(keeps getting stuck on his paw or hair..no matter how quick I am inspecting somehow there is a piece that always gets stuck) |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | SPEAKING OF GREEN BEANS - I just remembered this picture - This is my garden as of last week - Peppers Tomatos and Green Beans - and sunflowers... Chanel is only near the Beans and Tomatos in this picture cause she wants to jump that little fence and spy on the neighbors..... there was a "Noise" (imagine THAT) when I was taking these pics... and she's lookin at me to see if I'm going to catch her playing Spy-Girl in my green beans. Everytime she does this it looks like an elephant stomped thru the beans |

| I have no clue how healthy it is, but Riley LOVES apples, tomatoes, and pickles! He's kind of peculiar! LOL! Some dangerous foods to dogs: 1. Chocolate 2. Onions 3. Grapes Those are the only foods that I know of. Feel free to add to the list in posts below! |

| Anything that goes in my mouth is AOK with my babies. Problem is momma doesn't like to share. Momma likes her veggies. LOL My babies get carrots, cooked and raw, green beans(cooked). I don't give them corn because if it's hard for humans to digest it must be harder for those little systems. They do like potatoes fixed anyway except fried, no french fries, french fries all over the car, in a circle around my chair in the house! They will tear open the plastic bag the potatoes come in to get the raw potatoes. It's the funniest thing to watch them playing keep the ball away from everyone else, only to find out that the "ball" is a potato. What about califlower, cooked of course. I don't give them onions or broccolli because I'm afraid they'd get gas and they sleep with me. LOL Sylvia Some dangerous foods to dogs: 1. Chocolate 2. Onions 3. Grapes 4. Apple seeds |

| We haven't experimented with many fruits and veggies yet, but my baby LOVES asparagus of all things. He would eat that for every meal if he could!

| Mine love fruits and veggies... they eat oranges, baby carrots, lettuce and anything that my bird throws down to them out of his cup! They eat his fruit flavored pellets and he throws them lima beans, squash, green peas... I think they think Ivan is sneaking food to them that Mommy won't give them! Its so funny bc when they get it off the floor, they run and eat it really fast bc they think I'm going to take it away! p.s. I have heard the same about the grapes, raisins and onions. I too thought that garlic was okay in small amounts... Tino LOVES pizza! Uh-oh... no more pizza for Tino! |

| I think it is a good thing, my pom is a veggie boy! He will choose a carrot over meat every time. He loves all kinds of fruit even orange. He also eats the ribs of romaine lettuce. Mya spits out carrot. I try to keep her off of people food but will put veggies in her bowl to see what she likes when she gets a bit older. My late s**tzu loved cauliflower. Dogs eat grass to balance thier diet according to websites. Also wolves will eat fruits and veggies. I think if the dog likes it you should give them a balanced diet.

| Mojito would gladly eat anything I put in front of him but he LOVES, LOVES, LOVES cottage cheese and raw apples and carrots -- except for cottage cheese everything he eats is raw. He gets a little scoop of cottage cheese after he eats his breakfast and either some apples or carrots after dinner. We think everything he does is cute but I think it's too funny to watch him chew on apples and carrots and I love to hear the surround sound crunch, crunch, crunch! I'm going to have to try some green beans and peas and watermelon... Thanks for the advice, all! Lots of puppy kisses, Mojito |

| I asked my Vet Thursday about the fruit and vegs. He said just little bits,--she is 3#1oz. Said to just watch the fruit so we don't give her diarreha. So far she hasn't gotten that! But they sure love the vegs and fruits. I have birds and when I am cutting uop their vegs, she is right there wanting some too. I think it is good for them. Pat |

But her system has settled down. Also the first week of me giving her friut and veggies...it seemed to speed up her metabolism. She was hungry all the time. That seems to be going back to normal now too. | |
