| nala was like that at one time, but her's was just a phase. she would rather check out the other dogs and sniff around than be in my lap or let me hold her. all she wanted to do was explore but now that's she has sniffed every inch of the house lol she will lay in my lap |

| Maggie is now 12 weeks old. Only lately has she wanted to get on my lap. I usually help her up in my recliner (she's still too short) and have one of her toys brought up too. She likes to either lay on my lap or climb up my chest to my shoulder. If she's tired, she will lay on my lap or right beside my thigh. She is our only baby in the house, so maybe that makes a difference. I too wanted a snuggly, naptime, lap baby. I do believe I got it, and love it. |

| Jerry is 2 and still like that sometimes. With Jerry it seems to only want to be held either in the morning or in the evening, sometimes he wants to held at other times, but you need to just approach him the right way. Hang in there...all yorkies are different...best advice I can give here is to be patient and dont force the issue. Michael |

| Mya does not want to be held if she is tired. As far as the ankle biting goes I had one puppy that was really insistent at that. I would tell him NO then gently tug on the scruff of his neck mimicking what his fur mommy would do. That helped as well as the other dogs growling at him. I also teach my dogs the command "nice” . When I am rubbing their tummy or patting them I repeat the word nice. Then when I think the dog is too hyper or getting too rough I give the command "nice". I think it is cute that Mya goes from being a wild hyper maniac to nuzzling and licking when the nice command is given. When she was learning and did not obey the nice command then I would remove her from dog, cat or children.
