Mya does not want to be held if she is tired. As far as the ankle biting goes I had one puppy that was really insistent at that. I would tell him NO then gently tug on the scruff of his neck mimicking what his fur mommy would do. That helped as well as the other dogs growling at him. I also teach my dogs the command "nice” . When I am rubbing their tummy or patting them I repeat the word nice. Then when I think the dog is too hyper or getting too rough I give the command "nice". I think it is cute that Mya goes from being a wild hyper maniac to nuzzling and licking when the nice command is given.
When she was learning and did not obey the nice command then I would remove her from dog, cat or children.
