| If its small pieces of matted hair I condition the hair and comb through with the conditioner on and leave the conditioner on 10 minutes. Then rinse put cowboy magic on and comb again. If its big hopeless matts I condition the hair leave the conditioner on 10 minutes then rinse. When the hair is dry I take a dematting comb and a regular comb through the hair. My dog Jewels was filled with terrible Matts the big kind that seem like only a groomer would be able to shave out and i have gotten them all out so it is not impossible

| I have great results w/ my small slicker brush.. I start at the bottom & work my way up... IF I come across a tight, stubborn one, I cut a few snips into the mat from the end up, then work it out w/ the brush... Sometimes I do spray it w/ a detangler first, but not always. You'll have to find what works for you. Mine has a very cottony coat.. Works every time

| This is what I use.....EXTREME SILKY SHINE & DETANGLER.. You only use a dime size and rub it into the matted hair and with the comb it will just about come out... My Gwen seems to get mats behind her front legs... I use this product on my Friesian, she loves to rub her mane on the door fronts and her hair gets really matted.. You can also dilute this too...It costs here in NH $18.95 and lasts forever.. .....(no sales tax) |

| You can pickup Cowboy Magic at many PetCo's, as long as they have an equine section in their store, since that's where it'd be sold. |
