| for me it would be all about financially. I wish I could get another one now that I have Buddah, but I just worry about unexpected vet bills and paying for food grooming ect. They are just as expensive as kids sometimes. |

| I would like to know my dog has good care when they need it especially when it comes to vet bills. If I am not working, one dog is all I will have. If I am working, I will have 2 so that they can keep each other company and that is the most I'd go with unless I strike a huge lottery. I would go with 6; one yorkie, one maltese, one mini poodle, one husky, one italian greyhound and one westie

| Thanks so much for the opinions guys!! I know that my limit would be 4. I could walk them 2 and 2 on couplers, but anymore than that and I'd need to grow an extra arm, hehe. |

| We have five dogs. A long haired black "golden retriever", a pembroke welsh corgi, a jack russell, a chihauhau, and our new little yorkie pup that is now 18 weeks old. All girls and all in the house. We love it! They are a hoot. |

| I think as many as you can care for. They need a lot of attention so I give props to anyone who has 2 or more! Me personally, one is enough...and I love him to death. He is my best buddy. I thought about getting another one but I just couldn't handle it. I work 8 hours a day, my place is small and since I'm still single, I need to have a social life.

| I have 5 dogs (diff. breeds one being a large dog) and Santa brought us two kittens. Oh, and two hermit crabs. I am home with them, they are all inside animals. 1/4 acre is chain link fenced so I don't have to walk or exercise them. When the weather is nice I am always outside so they are to. We have a man made built in pond that they all love to swim in in the summer. Plenty of shade trees and critters to chase. The small dogs sleep in my bed at night. When we vacation we have a wonderful house sitter that comes and stays at our house. Not perfect by any means, but she does great with them and understands they are our babies. Speaking of which, we have two little girls also. I am not done though. I am sure I will get more animals. But I have the time, money and place for them. Nothing makes me happier. |

| It is all in what you can handle.SOme people say I have way to many animals, but with kids, it teaches them chores. My kids have to feed horses at night, ride 3 times a week ( weather permitting) and clean there pens. WIth the dogs, some are in, and some are out. They have to make sure water is changed every day, and feeders are full. They have to spend time with them as well, and all dogs are spoiled here. The cats, well cats are cats. They come and go as they please, and will let you know what they want. So it is all in what you and your family have time for, and money for. |

| in the house: English Bulldog, Cairn Terrier, Westie, Yorkie and Brussels Griffon, 12 gallon freshwater tank, 1 Macaw, 1 Parrot, 1 Lovebird, 5 Finch, 1 Hermit Crab. Outside: 1 ChowChow and 1 Chow Mix. At the Office: 4 Parakeets. Whew.... I think that too many would be based on the attention and financial care you are able to give. I enjoy all my fur and feather babies so and everything just seems to fall into place.

| I think you should have as many dogs as you want as long as they are well taken care of.... I seem to have replaced my kids with dogs.... eventually I will be that "crazy dog lady" people will be talking about!!!

| I think it just depends on you and your likes and dislikes and what you can handle. I personally really love to spoil my babies. Cute clothes, bakery treats, strollers, carriers, you name it. I like for them to have their own things too, seperate play pens, toys, things like that. Eventually, I'd like to add one more to my crew and then that would probably be my limit. Don't get me wrong, I'd probably love to have a zillion yorkies but I think as to the amount of time I'd be able to give one and the type of lifestyle I could offer them, if I had anymore than 3, I don't think their life would be as "good" here as it currently is. I wouldn't have the time I would want to spend with all of them one on one and I couldn't take them out with me as much as I do and I know I couldn't buy all of them as many things as I'd like to and I am the biggest worrier everyone, the slightest sniffle and I am out the door running to the vet...my vet knows me and my dogs on a first name basis now...we're almost like family. LOL So, I think if I had more than three I would totally go broke! So for me I'd say 2-3 is a perfect number. |
