| Yorkies Getting Cold? Well, since Yorkies have hair like human hair, instead of fur like many other dogs, they can get cold. Does your Yorkie get cold? I find sweaters and other clothing help, even just around the house. |

| Neesa does get cold from time to time. I leave a plug-in heat blanket on when I am gone. |

| Skeptical about clothes; dining on crow I was very skeptical about clothes for Yorkies. I figured, a Yorkie is a DOG and dogs get hot, especially long hair dogs. I thought I MIGHT get a little coat for really, really cold days, like below zero or something, but that was the limit. Sorry ladies and gents, but I thought you were just being weird. Then we got up one morning and Susan was shivering!!! That was it! Now I'm sold. I just ordered two coats. Now I'm thinking about a nice little halter vest or something for around the house. Heat is going to be expensive this winter and I don't want my baby cold! I plan to wear a sweater, why shouldn't she have something? So I have crow to eat. Sorry YorkieTalkers. But I see that you were right. |

| I noticed that Cooper was shaking in the bed this morning after Courtney brought him to me before leaving for school. I was just wondering about this topic! I'm glad SusansMom brought it back to the top. Happy 1000th post to me.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I was like Susan's Mom. Guys don't dress up their dogs, and I bucked my wife at every opportunity. Until I took Eddie to the park on a cooler fall morning and noticed him shivering. Now I'm often the one who insists on him wearing a sweater. A manly sweater, though. Happy 1,000 to Carter'sMom! I always enjoy your posts -- but especially your pictures. You are the best. Oh, and Eddie loves anything warm. My wife has a rice bag that she heats up for aches and pains, and Eddie jumps on her lap every time she uses it. Same thing with the heating pad.

| Bo has really thick fur, cottony, not silky. But he does still get cold and he does shiver. So, yeah, especially this winter, he'll be sportin' a new hoodie I think. I just love any excuse to go shopping!!

| last week it was cold here and Chewy was shivering during the day. I had to put his little hoodie on him and put an extra blanket in his bed. I am a little worried about the NYC winters, he is going to be freezing! |

| I still have to buy a couple of sweaters but the stores that have them either have really ugly ones, or really cute ones for $50 But I have to get some soon, when I brought Sadie in after she went out to go potty today she was shivering so much, and just from being outside for 2 minutes. I had to bundle her up in the fleecy blankie!

| Maddie gets cold and I swear, we live in about the coldest place on earth! I have sweaters for her when she goes outside and I'm thinking to get her some warm boots as I'm always afraid she'll freeze her feet in the winter. She also gets cold after a bath, so I always heat the towels in the dryer and just keep her wrapped in the warm towels for a while after her bath. That really helps to keep her from shivering and shaking and starts her drying quicker! She doesn't sleep under the covers at night and if I cover her, she gets out from under it, so, I'm thinking she should wear a t-shirt or pj's at night...especially cold winter nights. |
