| Phoenix has this canine problem too Phoenix will be a year old in a couple weeks, but he still has 2 of his baby canines. He had three until I wiggled one out last week. His gums look bad around them and I was wondering how long to wait before having the vet take them out since they were ignored during the neuter.

| I would definitely remind your vet to addresss those baby teeth while he is under, you don't want to put him through that again if they can take them during this procedure.

Yorkie Yakker | Double fangs Interesting. I discussed this with our former vet. He looked at me like I was about smaller dogs not losing their puppy teeth. He reassured me they lose all of them. I kept trying to tell him about the experience of small breed owners and he again gave me that look. Not to mention, Gigi has not lost her baby teeth. Hmmmm, maybe I should drop by and show my girl's teeth. |

| Shayna also has double canines on the top. those are her only baby teeth left...i'm glad to hear that everyone that has had this happen had them removed during the spaying/nuetering surgery. I told my boyfriend we should have the vet take them out when shayna goes in for the surgery on friday, but he said it wasnt that big of a deal and we should wait for them to fall out naturally. She hasnt lost a tooth in a while and these guys dont look like they are budging anytime soon so i think im going to over rule him and go with the popular vote and just get them removed!

| Baby teeth Piper was just neutered on the 19th (@ 7 1/2 months old/ 5lbs.), and he had 16 baby teeth pulled! He had double of everything! His teeth are really strong now, and he recovered right away, so don't worry, they will get all the extra teeth at the vet. Good luck! |
