I Love Thor Donating Member | I don't know if it's common, but I don't think it's uncommon. Harry had this, and when you get him neutered they just take them out. Not a big deal. |

| I have had this happen before and it has been my experience that it is common in the smaller yorkies to have two sets of teeth. |

| Both Misha & Piper's canines never came out. Piper's was taken out when they had her under for being spayed. Talk to your vet about this. It's a lot cheeper to have it done then. Plus their already under. Misha we had spayed before this happened, so she had to go back under to have them taken out. Which is considered another surgery & costs. The roots on them must have been an inch long.

| Its so common as others have said on the littler ones to retain the baby teeth. Most fall out by 18 months. But if they dont they can cause serious gum infections. So if you are taking your baby in for neutering or spay its good they just come out and you just dont have to worry about it anymore. |

| It's pretty common in the small breeds. When it does happen, food can get stuck between them and cause a problem if not cleaned daily. It will be ok. The Vet. will extract them. |

| Wrigley had to have 14 teeth removed when she went in to get spayed this month! We were shocked because she had lost several teeth on her own! Our vet said it's really normal. |

| Cricket just had her top puppy canines pulled on Friday. It's more common than not for them to retain their puppy canines. The bottom ones are usually side by side and you can loosen and pull them yourself but the top ones are usually front and back and deep rooted. They need the attention of a vet in most cases.
