| She can have 7 ml of Benadryl. They can have 2 ml for each lb. (because she is little though I would just give her 6mls)

| I feel so bad for you. When they aren't feeling well, we might as well be sick to. Feel so bad for your little one. My Snoot (pekingese) has terrible allerigies. All three of my dogs are eating Nutro Lamb and Rice and it has definately helped but Snoot still has his days. I hope your little one feels better soon By the way I think Oatmeal baths are good for the itchiness. Atleast it helps my Snoot for a little while. Good Luck to you!!

YT 3000 Club Member | chester has had the same thing, I have put him on grizzly salmon oil and it has helped, also royal canin has some corn gluten meal in it, also royal canin is not rated very high which I didnt know when I had chester on it alot of grains as well in it. Do a google search and put in dog food analysis and click on reviews of kibble. |

YT 3000 Club Member | I was also going to tell you that I had the vet give chester a shot of cortisone once and I was not that impressed, it did not help that much and it makes thme pee alot, probably beacause it is an antiinflammatory. |

| I had to bring Lacey to the vet Wednesday after her eyes swelled up. She kept scratching them and they skin was raw and swollen. She also had some bumps. They gave her a shot and some ointment to put in her eyes. The swelling has gone down a lot and she is feeling better and not scratching. This problems appeared after we had some very windy days and wind gust of 40 mph. I think she has environmental allergies.

| Oatmeal!!!! Good Morning! We had a mini Schnauzer a few years ago that had terrible skin problems.... she was allergic to GRASS!..... Her skin would become so red and irritated. The BEST thing that I could find for her skin..... which soothed it AND cleared it up in a day or two was OATMEAL shampoo and/or Oatmeal coat spray. (we got it at our vets office). We used the spray everyday day and the shampoo once a week. Oatmeal really soothed & healed our dog's skin problem. Definitely worth trying!

| Have you been using your heat more latley? Dry heat in the winter will make your skin dry. I use a humidifier in the bedroom for this reason. Is anyone in your house itching too? Has she been around any other dogs? Maybe it is a skin mite, its probably not but that is always a concern. Try the oatmeal shampoo, that will help the itching if it is dry skin but it won't help if it is an allergy or a mite. I like earthbath shampoo in oatmeal. |

| It very well could be the food. Sometimes it takes a while for the allergen to build up and cause a reaction. You could try one of the hypoallergenic foods. Read the labels to be sure corn and wheat are not in it as that is the common food allergen in dogs. Duck and potato or fish and potato may be valid alternatives. |
