I have all of them for sale right now . But i am a little worried about saling the little boy . They were at the vet yesterday vet says they are all in great health . Anyway the little boy just weights 1 lb ! Is this normal ? I just don't want to sale someone a pup that could have a hidden illness . Both parents are small . Dad is 2 1/2 lbs .

| I have a girl who was 12 oz when I got her at 8 weeks. She was the smallest of her litter. So far there have been no health issues. It is probably hard to tell without any testing if there will be health problems in the future because of his small size. Good luck finding homes for your pups.

| When I got Tatum at 9 weeks old, she weighed right at 1 lb. She's 15 months old now and weighs 4 lbs. and has been very healthy! Just thought you might want something to compare your little one to....

| My new puppy weighed 1 lb 2 oz at 12 weeks. So i don't think that is too small. If he is healthy and active I would'nt worry. |

| small puppy Coco is still tiny. At less than 10 weeks old, she weighs in at a whopping 1 lbs 5 oz. I don't think the size is the issue. But you may do a chem lab on him at the vet before selling him. Just have them run a blood test to check for things that may not be visible. It's a bit costly but I think it's worth it, knowing that your pup is going to a good home and that he's healthy. So that the buyers are also reassured. |

| This is where I think tinies can be more expensive. I have 1 here that is 15 weeks old and still under 1.5 pounds. She will get a good vet check, bile acid tested and if needed x-rays of her hips or knees. I'm waiting on her to get a bit larger first. Its not happening very fast though. I spent her first 2 weeks tube feeding her because she was only 1.5 oz at birth and not strong enough to suckle. She still has her tail because she was to small and fragile to even try to dock it. I've never been one to let nature take its course and this time I'm glad I didn't she is a doll. |

| You Never Really Know My little girl Chelsey was 2 lbs at 12 weeks. she is now almost 2 yrs old and weighs 3.5 lbs. We did have some health issues with her the first year but now she has outgrown them all. Thank Goodness. We still have to be extra carefull with her, cause she is so tiny and fragil. I love her to death but would not recomend any one to look for a tiny yorkie. |

| Wow, look at all the different sizes we have from the babies at less than 12 weeks! I bought Pirogue at 8 weeks and when I took him to the vet a few days later he weighed 2.10. Now at a year he weighs 9.8. I got Lady when she was 5 1/2mo. and she weighed 5.2. she weighed 6.2 at a year. Autumn weighed 1.6 when I got her at 10 weeks. Now at 9 mos she weighs 5.6, I just weighed her and she's gained a whopping 4oz. in a month! lol Matty was born the 4th of this month and hubby thot she must weigh a # now, so we had to weigh her too, she weighs 12 oz at 12 days. Her daddy weighs 3# and Lady is her mom. I thot that getting Pirogue at over 2# and him being so big that if I got a much smaller pup that he/she would maybe be 3# grown. lol @ me. After I bought Autumn I was so afraid she wouldn't get big enough to breed. I kept pestering the vet "is she going to reach 5#?" until I think he got sick of hearing it. Sylvia |

| My experiences with small babies... When we got Pochi he was < lb at 10wks. From our breeders advice we bought the brand of dog food she was feeding the litter as well as NutriCal as she warned me about Hypoglycemia in small dogs. He was healthy(took him to the vet to verify the wellness check) but was very shy and wouldn't eat any food we gave him (solid or soft). I began to worry and there was 2x where I was scared he would die when he went into sugar shock and had a seizure like symptoms. I had to force feed him for 2wks and watched him 24 hrs a day to make sure he was still alive. NutriCal and Karo syrup is what probably saved him. He is now a healthy fat 3.5 lb dog (fat in a good way! ). We got his brother, who is smaller than him and had no problems with eating or hypoglycemia. His brother is outgoing and has a healthy appetite. It was like night and day. I guess the point I was making is that if your pup is healthy and not shy and there's no problems with hypoglycemia (from either parents) you shouldn't have a problem. I'd probably keep him with you til he's 12 wks to avoid any separation anxiety and such and by that time he'll be acclamated to eating solid foods.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I think that as long as he eats good, is able to get around and play that he will be okay. I might wait a couple of more weeks before getting rid of him. Make sure that the family he's going to knows how delicate he is. |
