As you can see by the above rejection of Oscar, the Omniscient Ones Who Decide All on the Teapot Thread and then Gloat about Their Power do not like accepting Teapots into the club until they reach 1 year of age. At 7 months, Brandy gives us pause.

However, during that pause, we were transfixed by Brandy's beauty and realize that, at 8 pounds, she is not likely to slip below the standard of inferiority that is 7 pounds. We are poised to accept Brandy into the club.

Avatar pictures, however, are not large enough for us to sufficiently ogle, uh, make our decision. Before we can accept Brandy into the Elite Club, we require a Teapot of a picture to be posted.

But if there's one thing the Elders don't mind doing, that's ogling adorable Teapots and Teapot wannabes. So we have locked ourselves in seclusion on a Himalayan mountain peak and vow to review all new applicants closely.

Bailey falls into a gray area that makes the Gray Ones, I mean Elders, reach for the Metamucil. On one hand, Bailey's 7.8 pounds is seemingly comfortably over the 7.0 standard that makes Teapots so special. However, since he loves his walks and is so active, we fear that he could possibly slip below the standard once he loses his baby fat.

Fortunately for the club, your excellent application swayed us. Not one, but three pictures of Bailey's adorableness were included. And the biographical information makes us want to give him a big hug.

So, congratulations, Bailey, you're a Teapot! Your Badge and Secret Decoder Ring are in the mail (although delivery isn't very reliable up here in the Himalayas.)

Now you've done it! The Elders of the Teapot Club and Secret Society broke out in fisticuffs over your application.

Half of the Elite Group said Brutus should be accepted into the club on his name alone -- Brutus! The PERFECT name for a Teapot! And the fact that he's all boy and gets plenty of exercise outside made that half of the Elders think he will continue to gain muscle and Teapotness as he ages.

But then there were the traditionalists, the ones who led the arguments against sweet Oscar, who is the same weight and just a little younger. They say 7.3 pounds for an active Yorkie is a long run and a couple holes dug away from slipping below the dreaded 7.0 pound limit.

Unfortunately, the fuddy duddies, uh, I mean traditionalists, have more power on the Board of Elders of the Teapot Club and Secret Society. They ruled that Brutus must reapply when he turns 1 year of age.
