I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Product Hype Have you ever read a thread and got so excited about a new product that you just had to have because EVERYBODY loved it; but then were disappointed because your dog didn't like it or it didn't live up to your great expectations. Don't get me wrong, I found several things that worked out very well. However, I was greatly disappointed in two products that so many others loved. Joey didn't like Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, (an 18 pound bag, I'm so disappointed). Cowboy Magic Shine and Detangler, a 32-ounce bottle by the way, just didn't do anything for his hair except leave him looking a little greasier. I know it's recommended for cotton coat, but so many said it smelled so great and hair was so shinny afterwards. I don't like it on my hair either. He doesn't really care for the Kong toy either, and generally loves all toys. I've tried stuffing it with lots of different things; it just makes a mess. Care to confess which products didn't work for you. Please if your dog loves these things; don't get mad, that's why I tried them. Nancy |

| Scruffles interest in Kong lasted for a minute. And I haven't found booties that he will keep on yet? Also, the litterbox thing didn't work for him either. So what shampoo are you using now? Heather |

| Mine didnt like the Chicken Soup either and I really wanted them to. The only time they play with their kong is when I freeze yoqurt in it. Alot of people like Pet silk shampoo on here but i dont. Mine dont play with the treatball.

| good thread Nancy!! My Cooper didn't like the Chicken Soup food either, but luckily my store had the trial size for 2.99. Of course, we went through Chicken Soup, Canidae, Royal Canon, & Merricks (dry and can) and finally hit the jackpot with Solid Gold Wee Bites and Natural Balance (looks like a sausage tube.) I was a bit disappointed in the Chris Christianson shampoo and conditioner, they worked okay, but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I just got in some BioGroom and some Petsilk from Pet Edge today, we'll see. BTW, I LOVE Petedge! Good pricing, super quick shipping!! I also liked the Cowboy magic, and my guys like the kongs, but only filled with the paste and frozen, as soon as it is gone, they show no interest anymore! I have also yet to find a dog brush or comb better than a plain ole black Goody comb from Wal-mart or Target. I have just the plain black one and a rat tail and that is the best thing I have found out there for combing and keeping the mats out (along with the Cowboy Magic for Cooper). I use the Johnson and Johnson, No More Tangles on Carley. Cooper and Carley will also not touch the Merricks Texas Toothpicks, any of the Mother Hubbard's treats, or any other of the hard biscuit type treats.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Actually - yes - once - Cowboy magic didn't do much for my girls - I have other sprays I'm happier with but it was only 8$ so no biggie....I take a long time to buy things cause I have to watch the spending so I guess I haven't been taken by hype - the things I've bought - shampoos etc ...I really do like |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ruby has never cared for the Kong - suggested by her trainer. The other hyped product that didn't work for us is the CC systems. I know it works great for some people, I just wasn't that impressed with the results. Don't even want to start with foods because there have been too many!!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Yes - but it was a SUPER CHEAP buy, so I didn't mind Alot of people recommended Aussie Mega's 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeeep Conditioner (human stuff) but I swear - it didn't do ANYTHING for Stedman's hair. So far, I am sticking with Buddy Wash & Rinse unless I just HAPPEN to find something that's better (but we LOVE this stuff!)

| Ice On Ice was soooo highly regarded by many on this forum but I tried it and it did nothing. My puppy hated it because it left her wet and cold without much benefit. Surprisingly, everything else was really good. I very much like PetSilk Shampoo and Conditioner. However, I don't dissolve them with water at all. I use the concentrated version and am very happy with the results. Cowboy Magic is really magical. I do like this product very much. I also like CC's Fusion Brush. However, if I could only buy one expensive grooming product, I would skip the brush and invest in the best comb on the market, i.e., Original Belgian Greyhound Comb. It is hands down the best and does not come close to any "greyhound style" one. |

My furkids Donating Member | I agree with Nancy...I so wanted the girls to love Chicken Soup...they wouldnt' even try it! They put their little noses up in the air and walked away from it...And Cowboy Magic...Lillie is difficult to brush , I was able to get it into her hair but, I had to use alot more than a nickle size in order to get the matts out and they didn't come out very well either...I have been using a new conditioner (can't think of the name right now) but it has coconut in it...it worked much better than the CM.

| Hobbs freaks out when he rides in the car so I got some "Rescue Remedy" which is all-natural drops you put on their tongue before any stressful situation. Many people here recommended it but it didn't do anything for Hobbs. Oh well. |

| Ice on ice just did not work for me, I dont think I was doing it right, lol And my girls HATE the kong toy. I had to put real cheese in it to get them to even look at it and that didnt even help much. Kong

| I really love the cowboy magic mixed with water as an inbetween bath spritz for their brushings! Works great on serious mats and it has really added a lot of shine to their hair. Love Petsilk shampoo and conditioner but dilute it per directions on the bottle. Also just bought the Bo Derek Detangler Shampoo, Conditioning Shampoo, Conditioner and Bright Whitener Shampoo. Smell nice but don't know that the results are any better than Petsilk but have only used it once.

| I was really hoping mine would like Chicken Soup because of all the raves on here, but they both hated it. I mixed it with their other food and Maddie would pick out the pieces and leave them next to her bowl. I think the pieces were too big for her little mouth. |
