| this really is a good post. the hype about the cc gold series brush was the best advice I have ever followed on here. I will never use any other on my "team". more like a massage and no scratching. the cc shampoo was not any better than any of the other ones that I have used. it wasn't bad, just not better. although cowboy magic is good for taking out the mats it isn't good smelling 'to me'. we all like different smells and textures, our yorkies have different taste also. we just need to find the right combinations. for me the only way to find if they work is to test them out.

| This is a GREAT FUN thread. My kids don't like the Kong toy unless I smear peanut butter inside. |

| Don't those Kongs smell like rubber? I would think having a more sensitive nose than humans would make it even more unappealing. Even stuffed, I think it would still smell/taste rubbery. It doesn't matter though as Debbie is not a chewer at all. She could care less about squeaky toys too. I don't think the Ice on Ice is the miracle spray they claim it is. Villette can tell a great story about how it makes the floor really slippery and she went flying with her socks on after she had used it. I just sprayed it in my own brillo like hair, but I don't see any difference either. I use a Denman brush on Debbie and that works just fine along with a little plastic comb. I agree with this being a great original thread. In all the time I've been in groups, I've never seen one like this. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You guys are so right, I definitely should start buying the smaller product, but I'm always so sure I'll love it. It wasn't just the money with the Chicken Soup; it was the time. Seven different distributors from the manufactures website no longer carried the product. The last one I called recommend a store about 40 minutes away. I sent poor hubby to fight the traffic and was so anxious when he got home I wanted to taste it! Gave it to Joey and he just looked up at me. Cowboy magic does seem to work miracles on cottony coats, but since I read it repels dirt, I thought it might help Joey's silky/oily coat. He looks so cute after his bath, but a couple of days later he looks like one of his relatives mated with a rat instead of just catching them. (I sure hope he doesn't read this. He often sits on my lap while I'm at the computer.) Chachi, does freezing the Kong make it less messy? They're really raving about the Bobo and Loofa dog toys in the fun and toy forum. I've got to see what all the fuss is about! Nancy |

| Siu Pao didn't like Innova anymore and wouldn't eat it and would rather starve himself for 2 days so he is now on Cannidae with some carrots, green beans and he loves it. He played with his kong toy for like a minute? The toy he loves is a soft latex squeeky toy i bought for just $2 and it is his favourite so long I will throw it for him. A friend bought him treats from Bark & Fitz..he didn't like all of them and only like the icing that was on it. Nutro Puppy Drumstick treats, he doesn't like them either. Old Mother Hubbard parsley treats is a no for him too. I stopped buying treats for him because he just doesn't like them and I make my own liver treats for him. As for his coat, I am sticking to Emu Oil. Its not expensive and it works after his bath when his coat is a little damp and I work the Emu Oil to his whole body. His fur is soft like rabbit's fur but after a few days, you might have to spray it again. The best shampoo I have ever used on him besides Burgham's shampoo for senior dogs is Oatmeal shampoo.

| Abbie will occasionally play with a kong but Max won't touch it unless it has peanut butter in it. They also both do not like the good cuz/bad cuz toys. They have done nothing but sniffed them and walked away. I'll be giving those away soon. almost forgot-petzlife did not help Max out re: tartar or his breath

| Pepper has no interest in the Kong toy, I tried it when he was a tiny puppy and recently, but no matter what I stuff it with, he just sniffs it and that's it. He actually HATES rubber toys whatsoever.

| Great thread! I love to hear "reviews". Mojo didn't like the Cuz toys - before Halloween, there was a craze for the Bad Cuz and the other ones. I knew he didn't like rubber/vinyl toys, but I had to try it! It was a no go! Same w/ the puppy kongs - I think it is just the rubber or something. I haven't tried the Chicken Soup, but should be getting a sample soon to try. Mojo is a very picky eater, so I have a hard time finding something that he will eat. I will second the praise for the Yorkie Yummies from chattiesmom! Mojo LOVES those! I bought Cowboy Magic for Mojo just because everyone talked about how well it did - but then realized that I never had a problem w/ tangles/mats on Mojo, so we have yet to really try it out - BUT I just might try it on my own hair - didn't think about that! (Thanks Jessica) Mojo also didn't like the Bully Sticks - I think he is the only Yorkie on here that didn't like them!

| I spent $5.98 for a bag of chicken soup dog treats-salmon flavored. I thought my dogs would love it because they always sneak cat food....they would sniff it and walk away. They enjoy cheap-o milkbone flavor treat dog biscuits...THE GREEN ONES of all things! $1.98 for a great big box. Also, Kong toys were a no-go. collects dust!

| My girls wont play with balls or anything that dose not have a squeaky toy in it. They love bully sticks and really anything they can chew on but not a kong. They wont even take the stuff I put in it, out. AND I have not found a brush that dose not freak out my bella. They noise of brushing her, freaks her out for some reason. So right now, its no more tears and a comb. |
