If the breeder says she will refund the extra $200 if she gets to be a bigger yorkie, and considers over 5 lbs to be bigger, then I would pretty much plan on getting that $200 back in a few months. I do have two yorkies in the 6 lb range and have never considered them to be "bigger yorkies" by any means. Perfect size if you ask me! Also frame shape and size can make a big difference in the appearance of two yorkies of the same weight. My boy appears much larger than my girl but both weigh about the same.

Do you have any other pictures of your 6 lb range babies? i really wanted one in the 3 1/2 to 4 lb range and am kind of disappointed that she seems to be bigger than they "promised".

Maybe you should reconsider since there is no gurantee this puppy won;t get bigger than you want. My Cali was so tiny when I went to see her at 6 weeks, much smaller than her 2 sisters. I didn't ask her weight as she was the only one still available and I fell in love with her. When we went back to get her 3 weeks later she was almost the exact same size as her 2 sisters. She weighed 1 pound at 9 weeks. The breeder charged me more since she was the smallest, even though she wasn't anymore when i picked her up. I didn't really care as I never set out for the smallest. Cali is now 5 pounds but looks so small to me. There is no way to say if your's will get to 4lbs or 7 lbs until she stops growing. So if size is really important maybe you could wait and find an older one that is smaller. I think you will love her no matter her size. 5 or 6 lbs is still really small.

i will love her either way, 4 lbs or 6 lbs. i talked to the breeder and will be sending them a letter to sign stating that they will refund $200 if she gets over 4 lbs. either way i'm sure she will be great, and she's super healthy and active so i'm happy with her

glad to hear the breeder is willing to work with you on the money issue. 4-6 lbs is still a very small dog. My 1st yorkie kloey was 6.5 lbs and I thought that was a good size, now Lillie is only 3 lbs and I'm constantly saying "watch out for Lillie" she loves to be right around my feet and could be easily stepped on.

No matter what her size is, she will bring you much joy and I'm sure you will just adore her so much! I cant wait to see some pictures of her! Do you have a name picked out yet?
