| omigoodness Stedman'sMommy.... ....what great pics; that helps SO much! Kiki's hair is about the length of his, but doesn't look near that good! She is cotton-coated, so it took foreeeeeever for her hair to start falling in that "part". It does look kinda scraggly, and I'm trying to figure out if I'll like keeping her cut like Chachi sd better (short on body, long everywhere else), but I'm just not ready to cut her short again. Maybe when summer gets here. And THANK YOU for the pics of his chest!!! Kiki's has been sticking out all wonky, and it's driving me crazy, but I didn't know whether I could/should cut it short, or try to keep growing it out! Anyway, this will help with Mazie too! She has a silky coat, and I NEED to keep hers long b/c she is so skinny...but I do like keeping it shorter around her face! Soooo, next question...do you cut it yourself?! And if so...how DO you do it around his face?!

And I love the Yorkie part too - isn't it just the cutest? My husband gets SO frustrated with me because he will go to love on Stedman right after he has been brushed, and I always get after him and say, "DON'T YOU DARE MESS UP HIS YORKIE PART!!!!!!" lol he is like .... SORRY STEDMAN! Daddy can't touch you right now because mommy is having another one of her little SPAZZES over your hair again - lol So yeah...I'm picky pretty about his hair, it's something that I just cannot help! lol

The hair on Stedman's chest just got way out of hand when he was younger, LOL - (at around 5 months of age). And as I said before, he wears clothes 99% of the time, so his chest was usually always tangled (even with brushing every day it would get that way) - so, I decided to cut it shorter and it is much better for HIM to have it that way. Ok and about his grooming - yes, I DO do it myself. Do you REALLY wanna know how I groom his face??? LOL - it's pretty simple really, but not SO simple to do (well in the beginning anyway) I sit my butt down on the ground and trim the hair on his face with a regular pair of scissors! LOL. True, the very first time I did it he came out looking kinda silly but NOW, I swear I could probably do it with my eyes closed It takes a little bit of practice, but with me - it wasn't a huge problem because as I said before, his hair grows SUPER fast - so the first time or two that I cut it a little uneven, it grew back out pretty quick But, you really DO get the hang of it, and quicker than ya might think!

Thank you so much for the compliments! He is definitely perfect to ME...but the reason I think that is probably due to the fact that I'm his mommy - LOL of course I just LOVE my little man to bits! And ALL of our babies are just gorgeous...every single one of them!!

| I'm always clipping and trimming away at my doggies....grooming them myself doesn't bother me a bit...and they are FAIRLY good about it! So....do you hold the hair out straight to the sides to trim, or pull it down....or what? How do you do around his ears? Quote:
Here are some from months ago, and of course, she's changed a lot since. (these really add nothing to the discussion, but hey, my arm can be twisted too! )

When I trim Stedman's hair - I hold it out to the side more. That's how I trim his cheeks though - however, when I trim AROUND his FACE...I pretty much don't have to do anything with the hair except trim off whatever I see that needs to be trimmed - really don't have to pull the hair out to the side, or down or anything - I just kinda go along and follow the hair around his face that needs to be snipped And as far as his ears go - well, I haven't really trimmed them yet, LOL. His ears were completely SHAVEN the first (and ONLY!) time he went to the groomer - and I wanted to let them grow out and be kinda bushy (I LOVE that look on a Yorkie - I think it's so cute ) so anyway, they are getting there now, so I really haven't had to do any trimming there And thank goodness for that - because it's just one less thing to trim, LOL

| Okay, I am officially really over-thinking this, ha! I keep looking and looking at those pics of Stedman, trying to figure out what I'm doing different! And I think it's the hair around (and behind) the ears that is so much longer on Kiki. I cut my own hair too, and I'm very familiar with the "snip off whatever looks like it doesn't belong" approach , so I guess I'll keep trying that with the Kikster too. And if I cut too much, there's always that old truth...hair grows! (thanks for your kind words on her! She DOES look like such a sweetie-doll in those pics! of course, that's only half the story! She's a real tomboy, always wrestling and chasing and messing her hair all up. THose pics are quite deceptively INNOCENT looking! )

Please, pleeeeeeze tell me where you got that outfit!!!! I'm planning on keeping Ginger's hair on her head shorter as I let her body hair grow out again. (I shaved it due to allergies a few months back, but all's well now). Who knows, maybe we'll all start a new trend!

| Update. Okay, I've been chipping away at Kiki's hair! I'm still not totally sure what I'm doing , but all the angles of the pictures you posted sure did help, Stedman'sMommy!!! At first I thought I went a little too short, but everytime I look at her sweetie little babyface it just makes me SMILE! I think it really shows off their cute mouths, too, or something! She's not looking quite like Stedman (she doesn't have those great ears, for one thing! ), but she's looking like, maybe Stedman's little sister or something! And Mazie, too, went "under the scissors", and got more length cut off her mustache/beard. And I don't think she's ever looked cuter! Thanks SO much for taking the time to post all the pictures for us!!!
