| Peanut is home!!!! Firstly, thanks everyone for all the support and advice. I really appreciate it, and I feel very lucky to have everything work out like it did. The woman I was in contact with had put Peanut into the care of her sister's family. After I talked to her on the phone, she was unable to get hold of her sister but left a message on her answering machine. She expected her sister would contact me pretty quickly so she didn't think to call me again. The sister had taken Peanut to be flea dipped when she received the message. Since her son had gotten attached to Peanut, she was checking the shelters for another dog to adopt before she shared the news with him. She asked if I'd pay for the flea dip and I offered to pay the adoption fee for the puppy she bought, so everyone is happy now. I must say, I've never seen him shake as much as he did when he saw me. You could tell he was excited to see me, but he shivered for about 30 minutes after we left. I thought he might be cold so I held him in my coat on the way home and he continued to shiver until he got sleepy and fell asleep. I must admit that worried me a bit, but after he woke up he didn't show any signs that anything unusual had happened. I'm going to try to attach a photo after he woke up. He's the short one. Again, thanks everyone. Last edited by tgsplano; 01-07-2007 at 02:19 AM. |

| Wonderful news...now watch him carefully for a few days...never flea dip a Yorkie..many succumb to the toxins and wind up with liver damage... |
