| I need your help guys! I have question for you all when you are rehoming a new pup is ok to ask the old owner to sign a paper stating that the dog is in good health. Or do you think it will offend the old owner offering the pup, just asking because im sure the person taking the pup in would want to know and with all the stories i have heard on here you cant just go by word of mouth. Give me your opinions please!

| I'd definitely get that in writing. If they care about the pup and know it's healthy (to the best of their knowledge) then they will not be offended. There are people out there that will find out that a pup has LS or LP or something like that and try to resell the pup so they won't have to pay to fix the problems Go to a notary (most mailbox places have them) and make it LEGAL If it's not notorized, they can pull the "he said, she said" thing and say they never signed it.

| The person she is talking about isn't asking anything for him. So, to me that changes things just a little maybe I'm wrong. I think if someone is handing you a 1 year old yorkie, ask questions but as far as signing anything, no. My opinion. |

Its pretty much like your adopting a yorkie. You can't hold them accountable if she becomes sick. | |

I Love Thor Donating Member | I think asking for his vet records is okay. If SHE is trusting YOU enough to send her beloved boy home with you then YOU should trust HER word!!! |

| I know i just sent him a pm My mother in law changed her mind, not because of the issue about the paper but about another issue. I told him im sure he will find someone because there were a few people that wanted him. Thanks for all your input i know sometimes threads can get a little heated in here but that's what opinions are for and i value them all wether i agree with them or not everyone is entitled.
