| ![]() This thread is making me paranoid... lol. I do feed Howie rawhides sometimes b/c he loves them, but I always watch him very closely. I would never leave one with him while I wasn't home.

| ![]() I took Bailey to the Vet's AGAIN today because she hasn't been feeling well for the past few weeks & the first thing the vet asked is if I had given her Turkey on Thanksgiving? well yes, I gave her a small bite. Turkey is a huge no-no. The chemical in turkey that makes people sleepy is very toxic to dogs especially small dogs. And in large quanities can kill them. ![]() Bailey isn't sick because of her bite of Turkey but I thought it was a good thing to pass along, especially because of the holiday season. Yep absolutly, raw meaty bones (soft bones covered in meat) can be consumed completly and if you like you can give hard bones such as beef bones for them to chew on but these should not be consumed. I agree with just about everything else mentioned although turkey is fine, its just the skin that is not the best although OK in very small quantities. | |

| ![]() What about fresh Bing cherries and blueberries? Ziggy adores both and has never gotten sick. I know you have to be careful not to let them eat the cherry pit as it contains cyanide. ![]() Also, was baby food mentioned yet? A lot of it is bad because it is seasoned with onion powder or onion salt. I think everyone knows that anything onion is bad. ![]()

I am not saying this is 100% true, I do know fox news covered it and many vets were advising patients of this discovery. Keep in mine Iams makes Eukaneuba, which in that same letter we were told that the chemical used to preserve a typical car/turck tire was found in Eukaneuba to give it a longer shelf life....... Scary ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
