I think 3 are great!
I only have 2 yorkies but have 3 other siblings.. YLab, Boston Terrier and chi-mix....
I caught crud from everyone everytime I added a new baby to the house but I agree with everyone else.... I take care of them, I love each of them and I want that SIGN! "MY DOG LIVVES HERE YOU DONT!"

And they wonder why we prefer Yorkies over people. My yorkies never question my judgement.

Well they do raise their eyebrows at some of the outfits I put on them. LOL

I know exactly how you feel!! When I told my mom I wanted a Yorkie she told me I needed another dog like I needed a hole in my head. Guess who was in her lap rocking in the rocking chair today? Yep, you guessed it. She's already in love with Nico. And my best friend told me she didnt understand why I'd want to pay vet bills when I could go shopping. People just dont understand the gratification in owing pets!

I wouldn't take it personally.. some people just aren't dog people.. doesn't mean they meant to offend you.

That is a great idea....lol Love it....but its also true...this is their house!!! If someone comes over I refuse to lock my babies because someone is coming over. This is their house and if the person doesn't like it...they can leave.

It always gets my blood boiling when ppl inset negativity into what should be a positive and welcomed event. But then I remind myself that not everyone can be as nice and understanding as I would want them to be... Don't let others get to you. As long as you are happy and your little ones are healthy and happy that is all that should matter. I for one have already started getting prepared for the same type of feedback once I announce I want yorkie #2 next year....

do not mind what they say..everyone can not believe i have 4 dogs and 4 birds.. when they... OMG ...I ask them ..
if they have a dog?
most say yes and then they say a rot or lab...I say all 8 of my animals won't even weight as much as yours ((they shut right up))
Than their our the ones that are so interested in my routine with them..
they can listen for hours about my Little zoo...
than there is others that say want a cat...some one always trying to give me a cat.. NOPE...
And than i think i am crazy for wanting one more baby ((yippie))

I am so happy for you! I used to have 2 dogs (not Yorkies though) when I was living with my own family and I loved them both very much and was very happy! Now I only have 1 yorkie with my hubby and that also did not meet his family's approval very much but I don't live with them. Dealing with hubby's issue with not knowing anything about dogs is one thing but dealing with whole family is another.
