Am I CRAZY?!?!?!?!?
 
My fiancee and I decided we are getting baby number 3 after the holidays..Jan/Feb. Well I was at my moms house yesterday and my brother and his wife were there too. I told them I was going to get another baby.. my brothers wife looked at me like I was freakin crazy..and said another one! 3 dogs!! OMG what are you going to do with 3 dogs... I was like YUP another one...What is it with ppl..I take care of my babies now..I am on top of things..they are always clean and my house doesn't smell like dogs...plus we have the money to take care of them...and what the heck...they are living with me..so what is the big deal. I'm the one that feeds them..I'm the one that takes them a bath...daddy cleans after them:D She's always saying how clean my babies are so what is it to anyone that I'm getting another one. Oh and I'm moving into my new home the end of this month with more than enough room for them to run around...they will even have their own room.

I'm sorry I just needed to vent...I was pretty upset about it. I told my fiancee when I got home and he was like SO, who cares if we have 10 animals. We take care of them...and yes we do.

no your not they are crazy who wouldn't want 3 yorkies or more!! i know i do! if they don't have a yorkie they just don't understand!

IGNORE them....i really hate when people throw their two cents in....its not like they are going to be living with 3 dogs.. YOU are and thats your decision....when we got Lady my bfs family made their comments about us getting a dog, and spending a lot of money on her....thats our business and we had the money to purchase her and pay all her vet bills...but everyone thinks they should throw in their opinions...I would just ignore it and start thinking about how you are going to decorate their new room... :D

So sorry you're feeling judged. I get that a lot with my 3 yorkies and my Golden Retriever. I would love to have more, if I had the room and no carpet...LOL. I keep everything very clean also. I just don't understand when people judge me for my babies. As long as I can keep them clean, fed, and healthy...which I do...they need to back off.

Ditto! My boyfriends mother is always making comments like " Your house must be a kennel" and blah blah blah blah:rolleyes: Pa-lease! My dogs are always clean, groomed, happy, fed and fat and my house is very clean! So back off and mind your business:thumbdown !

Oh and the room thing...I don't even know how to decorate it...lol Any ideas?!?!?!? this is just going to be their hang out spot because they sleep with us.:D

OMG! I know exactly how you feel! When I decided to get a SECOND one, my family acted the exact same way!!!!!! I just ignored them. Now they love both our babies and they see why we wanted another. Who cares what others say. Do what makes you happy!!!!! :)

I totally understand. When I told my mother that I was thinking about getting dog #2, she had a fit. I know she'll be upset if I get another one, which is making me hesitate. It's so silly--I'm 42 years old and still worry about what my mother thinks! Try not to worry what other people will think. It's none of their business. Lucky you to be getting your third!

Thank you!!!:D :D :D :D :D This will be MY first home...I'm kind of nervous but excited at the same time because my babies will have a bigger area to run around in.

Oh well, Don't worry about what they think. If you take care of them why not have another one? I have 3 yorkies and 2 cocker spaniels. Congrats on getting another one!!!!

you can make it a yorkie theme or just a dog theme....like a doggie playroom...lol...i love it....i wish I had an extra room to make Lady one....how exciting a new house and a new puppy...things couldn't be better...congrats...

Well,if you are crazy so am I.:D There must be thousands of people all over the world with 3+ dogs.:) If youve got the time and resources to look after them then go for it and welcome to the club.I personally would be lost without my dogs.If this will make you happy go ahead,dont live your life for other people but for yourself.:thumbup:

Tell her, "It's just a Yorkie thing" she could not possibly understand! It's wayyyyyyyy over her head! lol

I detect a little jealousy on her part. Shoot, I'd have a dozen Yorkies if I could afford to care for them all:D They're cleaner than most toddlers. Would you say something like that to HER if she told you she was going to have a third child?

I think that folks that don't have Yorkies just don't get it, kwim? They're like Lay's potato chips, you can't have just one:yelrotflm
