| After everyone here suggested Cowboy Magic, I tried it. Does great on mats! You either have to order it online, or go to a tag N tog shop for it. |

| Thanks, but, I've never heard of it? I'm new, I've only had my baby for 3 months, but his hair is getting soo long and I can't keep it clean. How does the cowboy stuff work?

Thanks, I will definantly do that, however, do you recommend any other method for keeping the coat mat and tangle free? I know it's painful for my little charlies and he absolutley hates it. Most of the time, I just cut off the chunks instead of pulling and tugging his coat, Now he looks funny, he's full of patches, looks like he got into a fight with the weedeater!

| Thank You All! I'm going to PetSmart to see if I have any luck! We are in Texas and they have plenty of horse products. Thanks for the advice.

Some leave on products will make tangles worse if you go too long between baths so clean hair helps alot. I use very little 'leave on' stuff because I found they dry the hair and they seem to attract dirt - but also do love one product for Chanel who tangles more than Cheri - it's Sea Breeze oil by Plush Puppy.... There is also a Spray on called Johnsons No More Tangles for real kids and all the stores that sell baby products usually carry it - and it's only about 5 $ ...A groomer I went to a long time ago swore by it for getting out knots...and it does. ps...if he's that matted - you may want to start fresh and just give him a nice short cut - then just make sure he gets brushed everyday as it grows - he'll be happier and so will you - | |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Try and get him use to getting brushed every day. Even then Cali's coat mats as she is more cottany coated. Cowboy Magic helps.
