| ![]() My groomer has suggested that in between visits and before bringing him in to use the Johnsons no more tangles for kids and to let that saturate the area for about 5 minutes before raking and to use a flea comb as it is the finest width you can get in a comb and it will work on all the strands that are in the matt |

A flea comb???!!! I would think that would really pull! I suppose if your fubaby let's you brush or comb them out and sat really still you could work the matt out from the bottom up...Seems to me that would really pull on the coat..but, if it works.....then that's the way to go!

I bought mine at Petsmart. I'm sure any other major pet supply store, or horse supply store will carry it too. Theres also a store locator on CM's website for where you can buy it. http://www.cowboymagic.com/

| ![]() When I first started combing Venus out, she wasn't too happy about it. But I kept doing it, EVERY night, about the same time. She's so used to it now, she falls asleep in my lap while I'm dematting her every night. She's just 5 months old too. She gets so matted so fast. I use a comb, that has 2 sides to it. First I section one part off, and work on sections at a time. I use the wide end to start each part off, then over to the smaller side of the teeth. I start on the tips, then work my way to her skin. Each night, I still find mats. I put a drop or 2 of cowboy magic on the mats, and they come right out. Seems for me, working sections is the easiest way for me. Lot easier than trying one whole side of mats at a time! Have to get your baby used to being "groomed" each night. Like anything else, be consistant on this. I got Venus at 10 weeks, and been doing this ever since. Her hair is pretty long now too. Good luck, and let us know what you use, and how you like it. |
