I will just say that I hope you stick around long enough to see all the positive attributes offered by this site and it's members.:) I wish I could understand completely where you are coming from, but I am honestly cohaving a hard time following you and making sense of what has you so upset. :( Just give everyone here a chance. You have to have some thick skin sometimes, but it's worth it to stay in the long run.:thumbup:

It signifies you are screaming or yelling... Sometimes my caps would get locked in and not even give it a second thought until I started my conversation.. But I really think you misunderstood Susanbee51
It appears what she is saying is that if someone came off rude or mean due to their knowledge in the field of the question would also be there for you and all of us... sometimes we interpert different meanings from just reading and think it sounds mean or rude but the person behind the words are sharing the facts as they know it... I always know when someones is being rude... because Im guilty of that by not reading and understanding the post...

I know for myself, sometimes when I read what I have posted it sounds not at all how I was meaning it. I feel it comes across not nice or (I'll admit it) dumb. Although, when I was writting it, it sounded great in my head....hhmmm:rolleyes:

If what Susan sd. sounded rude or out of line to her, then MAN, no WONDER she thinks this is a mean site! Cuz, Susan was disagreeing with her and offering another perspective in the most gentle and kind way possible.

I always have to laugh when people think this site is harsh. I mean sure, it has a few moments here and there, but man, I've been on some other sites, including a guinea pig one, that would chew YT up and spit it out and not think twice. :D

When I first read this, I had to do a double take. I thought I was quite clear when making my point, and then reread my post wanting to see where I was rude and putting someone down. Nothing in my post is rude and/or putting others down. Yes, I did think it needed to be said otherwise I wouldn't have said it. My post was not offering an opinion, it was offering fact. I for one have no problem with people asking and getting answers to their questions. I ask tons of questions. When they ask and do not like the answers they get, do not heed the advise given, and then become defensive with answers they didn't want to hear in the first place, then why ask.

I am very surprised to read this. Obviously I did not read the thread you are referring to. But I have to just add that: I am a person who was scammed by an internet ad/site; who them posted my experience on this board. I have to honestly say, no one on this site has ever called me stupid, or told me I deserved to lose my hard earned money, nor has anyone ever suggested that I should be killed. My experience has been quite the opposite. I have had people express both empathy and concern/interest over the ever growing prosperity of puppy mill pups, especially since the dawn of the worldwide internet.

I don't think this is off topic, but I wanted to share what my daughters and I were talking about this AM.

My girls are 21, 18 & 16.

It had to do with life.

I told them that I tried to teach them that in order to learn, they needed to ask questions. That the only dumb question in life is the one that does not get asked.
You can not learn if you do not ask!

We also talked about how I raised them to not be rude, but that their opinion was theirs, & theirs alone and that no one could take that from them.
No me, not their dad, not their sisters, no one.
It does not mean that their opinion is wrong nor does it mean that it is right! It just that it is their opinion and that it belongs to them and they should not feel belittled if someone tells them that they are wrong. Because after all that is just their opionion.
An opinion, is someones thought and it belongs to them.

Sometimes one of the hardest things to do is to let go.
I really hope people that feel this site is mean and uncaring will take a step back and see how many wonderful things go on, on this site. Because I promise you, you will be blessed by the people on this site. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will happen.

I cannot imagine how you are thinking anyone is being rude or putting you down here -- maybe it is time for you to re-evaluate how you perceive what people say. A person can look between the lines and find whatever they are looking for -- look for friendly, helpful people and that is probably what you will read -- look for meanness and hate and that might be what you read. In other words, try to look at posts with a positive frame of mind -- it might make all the difference in how you perceive the words. People are trying -- but you are putting them off with this deprecating attitude.

That was my point. Even if someone tried they wouldn't get away with it here but they do on plenty of other sites.

Francie (you nut ;) ) was responding to my post (18) in this thread. I was agreeing with Safire's post about how mild mannered YT is compared to other boards.
I read those hateful comments on another site. The girl's first (and only) post she was asking for help and they ripped her apart. I felt so bad for her.
Something like that would never be tolerated on YT.

I'm sorry you were scammed. I feel I was too in a way. I paid so much more than I should have for my first yorkie. It was ridiculous.
Thanks to YT that won't ever happen again.
