Muriel...I just went back and saw your post - thank you and I agree - everyone here is wonderful - as long as I've been here - I STILL love posting here & will always do my part to help...that's what makes the site so interesting - the people we see come together that would never have contact - AND we get to look at cute cute yorkies like your new baby every day:) :) :) I can't even mention how many people have touched me - it would be a book ! |
Well, I can only go by my own experience here and I have't been here for very long but I LOVE it here! I think ppl here are great! I have learned so much. I try and be nice to everyone and welcome ppl when they are new. I just try and stay away from ppl that are that way. Not to say they are not nice too but like others have said here, they are passionate about their babies as we all are. Just stick around and enjoy it here with the post that interest you and the ppl that treat others with respect! My saying always has been...respect others and you will get the respect returned to you. :D |

Opinions.... Opinions...That seems to be a key word in this thread. We all have our own opinion. I had to learn early in my nursing career that a goal can be achieved many different ways and noone necessarily did it wrong. It is the same with opinions. We can maintain different opinions and just agree to disagree. Having passionate, strong opinions doesn't mean that a person is "mean". Some folks just seem to come on strong without meaning to. I have learned a ton of information on Yorkies and breeding in my short membership and hope to learn lots more. There are some extremely intelligent people on this site with loads of knowledge to share. I have also developed some new friendships that I hope continue to blossom. Over all, I give YT an A+++++! Everyone loves a little rumble unless they are the one winding up with a black eye. :) Debates are educational -- to tell the truth I have learned the most when I had to support my opinion against an opposite one. I have learned lots here already and thank those who are willing to stick their necks out and educate even in the hotter topics. I love looking at the pics and oohing and aahing over all the beautiful Yorkies but I want to learn a little along the way too. This seems like the perfect mix! |

I think you will find those who want to start arguments don't stick around long. There have been a few who think that their opinion is the only one that counts, but for the most part everyone is really nice and very helpful. Most of the time what will start an argument is when someones asks a questidon and they don't like the answer so they start an argument. If you don't want someone else's opinion, then don't ask for it. |

Hi, my fiance calls me a snob with my tiny dogs, LOL!! On a serious note just ignore any mean post that you run into. I haven't been on here very long but during the short time that I have been its been great!! I almost lost my little Pia and everyone on here was so incredibly wonderful. Sure my family was there for me when I was waiting to see if she would even pull through but they just didn't understand how close you can become with your dog. Everyone on here understands the love these little babies bring. We see them like children. Stick around and get to know some of us and I'm sure you won't regret it. I saw your from Frederick, we're neighbors!!! I live in Hagerstown. :D Actually haven't been here long but its a nice area. Its growing on me :p |
:D I have 5 yorkies, a maltese, a pekepom & a himalayan persian cat. Everything I learn here is not just put to use for my yorkies but for my three other "kids" as well. Even though this is Yorkie Talk, many of us have other pets as well and nearly everything posted applies to all. As far as opinions, we all have them, and if there is a very stongly opinionated post here that I disagree with, I still read it all, as my mind is always open to change and learning. After reading, if I can't say something nice...I just skip posting under that subject. If there is something I want to know about furbabies, I always do a search here and it is seldom that I do not find answers. Stick around...this forum is great!:thumbup: :thumbup: |
I don't think were mean! Of course, like others already said, when touchy subjects are brought up and people have strong feelings, the thread can get heated. Overall I think majority of everyone on here is very sweet and caring though. |
I don't think we're mean! I mean, I'm a yorkie lover, and I'm not mean!(...am I?)It's a HUGE forum, so there are a lot of different opinions. So obviously, there's going to be some disagreements. But just try to avoid those threads. :) I hope you stick around! |
