There are a lot of nice Yorkie Owners here too. I have in the past been attacked, but Admin is here. They do control and stop the attacks. There are times things happen, but Amin is very balanced and does stop mean attacks.

				 | Please hang in there.. I really learned a lot from other Yorkie lovers' experience. I haven't encountered anybody who's mean. Probably they just got carried away and please do not take it personally as I think it was not done intentionally. I usually brush off anything that sounds so straight forward to me as I guess it probably how I read it depending on my mood. Please do not give up. You will learn a lot from their suggestions and experiences like I do as it is my first time to have such a lovely Yorkie. I try to take things positively and think of other people's comment worth listening to. Please hang in there. We are all humans and we all make silly mistakes we really don't mean to. |

				 | I agree There are alot of rude people. I think that if you can't handle it, don't jump in or just simply bypass the post. Can you imagine how they must be in person?

| My furkids Donating Member | When you have a forum with as many members as this one you are bound to have disagreements...there are alot of different personalities and everyone has their own opinion...I have seen threads get heated but, again....alot of different opinions and that's all they are "opinions". For the most part everyone on here is awesome! Very knowledgeable people with tons of info....I really like it here...I got my first yorkie 2 1/2 yrs ago and just got another...I am so glad that I found this forum...I have met very nice people that I consider my "forum friends". If I don't like the way a thread is going I pass it by. Like someone here said....Yorkie owners are very passionate about their babies...we only want what's best for them...and if someone asks a question they have to be ready for the answer...wether it's what you want to hear or not....I wouldn't leave this site...stick around for a while...you will love it here

well I can't say they were or are mean... this problem has been around for sometime, well at least the time I became a member, close to two years now and I and a few other members have tried to intercept and help out a newcomer when that poor person asked about looking for wanting or.. I HAVE A "TEACUP" question and It would just amaze me how that question can bring out members to ponce on these newbies.. I use to be a regular yada yada person on Yt but Had backed off due to alot of posts that become way too much drama and feelings were being hurt when the word Teacup the word breeder, and yorkies for sale!!! were mentioned.. it just seemed those were the only topics to talk about.. So alot of us original oldie members just somewhat faded away.. and alot have stayed in the background like me.. watching for topics that were meaningful.. It just seems the ones that are really trying to help newbies understand these terms sometimes don't get the chance, before someones wants to jump out and insult them with... I just want to educate them.. yea right!! anyway Welcome to Ytalk and we are thankful for your friend referring you to the best Yorkie forum ever... Enjoy Ytalk!!

				 | I'd say I agree with you, to a certain point, about some members. I guess so people have nothing better to do than critique what others say/do when they really shouldn't. This often happens in the off topic section.

				 | I'd have to agree. For the most part, everyone here is so friendly. I see alot of people answering questions and giving an encouraging word. If you notice, it's not just hot topics that brings on heated arguments, it's the same people being rude on a consistent basis. |

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | It's hard to get over 14,000 members together and NOT have a thread or two that get a little ugly. Think about it...over 14,000 members...that's a lot of different personalities...a lot of people brought up with different beliefs and if out of 57,000+ threads only a few get negative, that really isn't so bad.

				 | Seems Like It - But Really Not I know it seems like it. I think it just frustrates people that so much mis-information is out there. Every time I take my boys out people ask "Is he a miniature Yorkie?" My husband rolls his eyes because he knows I'm about to give someone the correct information. My boys are 9 months and 7 months and they are about 5 pound each. People then start talking about wanting to get one and they don't know ANYTHING about purchasing a purebred puppy much less any kind of dog. I think with the Yorkie breed there is so much money making going on and there are so many cruel people out there using them just to make money. And there are so many uneducated people spending tons of money on poorly bred Yorkies. There are some that were recently on sale in a pet store near me for $2000 a piece. They were about ten weeks old and already to large for breed standard...there coats were poor and there ears were not trained to stand. I can tell you that someone paid the money for those dogs and will be disappointed with what they bought then they'll find some excuse to get rid of it and it will end up on petfinders.com because it turned out ugly. So take the meanness with a grain of salt...I think people on here have good intentions which is the most important thing.
