| My Monte has a collar that he doesn't wear at all. I put his tags, rabies shot info, and other stuff on it, but it NEVER goes on HIM!

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I have a small yorkie who has managed to get the breakaway collar caught in his mouth; had to cut the collar off because he had the clasp part in his mouth. All 4 of mine walk on harnesses. The 2 bigger dogs--over 10# have a collar with an id tag with our phone number. All 4 have been chipped. I think I am going to put id information about my dogs in my wallet, in my car, and on my pda. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I stressed about collars for a long time and read every thread on YT with interest, but I settled on keeping a collar on them just for their tags. I don't want them running away and not having tags on them. The probability of them getting away is higher than the probability of them somehow catching their collar on something when I'm not around to help. At least that's what I decided. Oh, I never use it for a leash. I put a harness on for that.

| Cozy where's a collar 24/7 with her ID tags. Her collar is a release cat collar though. If she was to get it caught on anything and she pulled it would release so that she would not get choked or hurt. |

| My 2 only wear collars for walks. They are both micro chipped. But I keep their tags with me at all times. |

| I use step in harnsses for our yorkies. Me-Me and Cupie's necks are too small for the adjustable collars. I like them because they don't put any pressure on the neck and can be made to fit right over their little dresses.

I would LOVE something like that for Rocky! I've been trying to find him an easy-to-put on harness for when he goes outside, and something that will fit over his clothes. I was thinking of the harness-vets, but that looks a lot better! How much do they usually cost?
