| ![]() I did a search on the net and found this: You may give the mom a bath shortly after whelping if she is too messy. Or you can wait until she has rested a few hours and bathe her the next day. Course, you can't believe everything you read on the net, but she seemed to be an experienced breeder! |

| ![]() Wow, I have been following your story and just now had a chance to check my computer today. Congratulations! How did the vet check go? Your story and the help you received during this birth has definitely shown me that the people here are great. I have never had a dog that had puppies so I would definitely have been freaking out. I am so happy for you and your new puppies and of course Angel. |

| ![]() Hey everyone, Thanks for all your support and kind words. I don't think I would have made it through this ordeal without you all. Angel and the puppies are doing great. They are feeding off of her like they should. She's wonderful with them. I took them to the vet yesterday and everything looks great. Apparently she did pass that last placenta, I just didn't see it happen. The puppies all look good as well too. They didn't get a full exam, just a quick one to let me know how they are doing. They are gonna get their tails docked and dew claws removed on Monday. They said they couldn't do it yesterday because it was to soon. Angel didn't want her food yesterday (other then one bite) so I gave her some plain yogurt before bed. I hear that was good for them. She REALLY liked that! lol This morning she dug into her puppy food which is good. Everything is getting back to normal, other then the fact that she doesn't want Prince around. I tried taking him in the closet (where her and the pups are) and at first she put her nose up to him, but then she growled. It kinda scared him but it appears that he really wants to see the babies. Im not sure how long I can keep them all apart. He stays up for hours at night (And all day) barking because he can't be where she is. Im not sure how I am gonna be able to get Prince around her and the pups without her growling at him.
